Colter was our guide and he was so easy to learn from and really knew a bunch of Yellowstone history and has an abundance of ecological sense. This man is good for the park and the world! Excellent experience!!! Thank you Patti Morris

Snowmobiling in Yellowstone has been on my bucket list for a very long time, and Scenic Safaris knocked it out of the park. Jeff, our guide, was fantastic! From start to finish, the tour was professional and amazing. We snowmobiled nearly 100 miles, stopping at geysers, scenic vistas, wildlife viewing, and much more. Absolutely go on this trip!!

We had a very fun day snowmobiling through Yellowstone National Park! Jeff was our guide and he kept the day moving easily and made it fun. I was a little worried that the day would feel too long, but it did not. Jeff picked us up at our hotel at 6am and we returned around 5-5:30pm. From Jackson, there is a van ride for about an hour and fifteen minutes, then you stop at Flagg Ranch to get your snow suit, boots, helmet and the snowmobiles. At Flagg Ranch there are very nice, clean restrooms, a convenience store with snacks, drinks, etc, and a gift shop. After learning about the snowmobiles, we headed out for the park and started our fun day. We stopped a few times at the beginning of the ride for Jeff to show us some beautiful sights, waterfalls, and scenic views, and also he made sure we were all comfortable driving our snowmobiles. Then, we headed to see Old Faithful. At this stop there is a large visitor center where you can warm up for a few minutes, use the restroom, and wait for Old Faithful to put on her show. We ate lunch in a nearby yurt before heading out again to see wildlife, more geysers, the mud pots and hot springs. We stayed pretty warm through the day. The temperature was 2 degrees when we first headed into the park and that was cold, for sure. By the afternoon, it warmed to the 20s and honestly it was not cold at all with our warm layers we wore and the snowsuit provided by Scenic Safaris. I do suggest Merino wool underlayers. I think it made a difference. We had a very fun day and we all (my husband and two teenage boys) would absolutely do this again. The park was beautiful in winter and there were absolutely no crowds. Thanks to Jeff for an experience we will not forget!

We had the best time. Eric was a great guide. Very knowledgeable of all the places we stopped. We travelled about 102 miles on the snowmobile round trip. We were not as prepared as we should have been for the freezing temperatures. Definitely make sure you have plenty of hot hands and toe warmers, good gloves and warm layers. Also make sure you have a balaclava that comes down and protects your neck from the cold. The place where you are fitted for your gear has a little store that you can buy these things at but it is more expensive so I would go prepared.

Yellowstone is beautiful in the winter, the scenery being breathtaking. I just wish I was given the chance and time to experience it more. The tour guide didn’t give us, on the tour, opportunities to really experience the beauty of the area and wildlife. The tour guide seemed to have an agenda of his own as to what he thought we would want to see. I didn’t feel the tour guide was approachable.
