What To Expect

YS Falls

This day tour of Jamaica’s South Coast begins with pickup from any hotel from Montego Bay, Negril, Grand Palladium Resort and Falmouth. During the scenic drive, you’ll hear about Jamaica's history and pass by numerous farming villages in the mountainous region. On arrival at YS Falls in St. Elizabeth Parish, it’s a 10-minute, tractor-led jitney ride through the rainforest to the seven-tiered waterfalls. Spend free time exploring the picturesque cascades and swimming in natural pools watched over by lifeguards. Swing on the Tarzan rope or head to the zipline canopy (available at an additional cost).

Floyd's Pelican Bar

Between Treasure Beach and Black River you will be taken by a fishing boat to a rustic wooden bar built on a sand bar a quarter mile out to sea. The Pelican Bar is the perfect place to sunbathing, drinking beer, swimming and eating fresh fried fish. The Pelican Bar began as local fisherman Floyd Forbes dream of a bar built out to sea, resting on stilts. Large wooden planks were transported on his fishing boat. In 2001 the bar was completed and it was named "The Pelican Bar" after the large flocks of Pelicans who rested on the sand bank. It soon became popular by locals and tourists as a place of picture perfect serenity. Watch the beautiful sunset (weather permitting) as well as the cliff diving and listen to the Reggae Band. A perfect place to sit back, relax with a cocktail in hand. Boat ride is between 15- 20 minutes but worth the travel.

Jamaica Mesmerizing Tours was an absolutely beautiful day spent and a great value for the experience. We got to drive across the island and all along the way, see some of the traditional communities and people. Our first destination was YS falls and I had concerns as I recently severely damaged my knee and was limited in mobility. There were stairs, but I was able to take my time and enjoy the entire experience. It was absolutely beautiful. The second experience was the Pelican Bar. What can I say? It’s a bar literally in the middle of the ocean. Everyone there went over the top to help me with my knee and I was very happy to have done it. Had a few beers, carved our names in the structure and relaxed. I can only state that our driver Renardo was the only way this happened. He drove like a professional the entire trip and really went the extra mile to make me comfortable. He is the type of young man that any business would love to have. This was a great trip, but Renardo made the difference for me to make it excellent. Ask for him and you will not be disappointed.

We went on the tour and had a great time. The falls were not crowded this time of year and definitely worth seeing. We spent alot of time there - we zip lined - and our driver didnt give us a time limit. The pelican bar was nice to see but was a bit crowded. I would definitely recommend this tour. Our driver Carlos was excellent. He knew the areas well, was able to answer questions we had and we felt very safe. Definitely ask for Carlos when booking this tour.
