Excellent trip. Well planned and very well organised. We self drove. Great training before we headed off and plenty of time to get used to driving prior to heading out into the hills. Accommodation and food along the way was excellent. Guides made for an interesting trip with plenty of stops and good commentary. Tuk Tuks are well maintained and provided what could best be described as an enjoyable and relaxed adventure. Highly recommend.

The crew from The Tuk Tuk Club looked after us from the first minute we met them until the last minute we said goodbye. Everything we needed was supplied from sunscreen and wet wipes to places to buy the cheapest beer. The whole experience of driving our Tuk Tuk through incredible scenery, across winding roads to destinations many people don't get to experience was one we will never forget. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone who loves adventure!

Awesome trip!! Our exceptional guides Boyz, Yuth, Ou & Worn, are what made this trip outstanding. They were warm, fun, knowledgeable, and every morning our Tuk Tuk's would be cleaned, fueled and ready to go with ice in our esky. Their love for this beautiful region and how they support local communities and family businesses is commendable. The Tuk Tuk's are a wonderful way to tour the amazing scenery. The pace and sensory experience is far better than in a van or car... you can really appreciate the journey. Bruce and his team went above and beyond to ensure everyone in our group had a great experience from our original enquiries and booking, through to the last day of the trip...very responsive and communicative. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

The best tour guides who made our tuk tuk adventure even better than we expected. From the start, Bruce was great with accommodating our large group of 11 for our 11 day tuk tuk adventure. We managed to get Yuth, Boyz, Ou & Worn as our tour guides/drivers. They were all awesome, very caring, giving great recommendations on food, educating us and even getting involved in our shenanigans of Melbourne Cup. They laughed with us and made our trip bloody awesome. Beautiful scenery, amazing food and coffee with great hotel stops, each being unique and quirky. These four humans were above amazing! Cannot thank them enough for our very memorable holiday.

We have just returned from a wonderful trip around the mountains of Chiang Mai with The Tuktuk Club. I can honestly say it was one of our most fun holidays ever, and I cannot recommend it enough. If you can, choose the 11 days. By that time, you are comfortable with your tuktuk and have gotten to know the group, and it gets even better. Accommodation was way more luxurious than we normally travel, so that was a treat for us. We really noticed how the tours support the local economy by using local restaurants, cafes, guides, etc. Our tour leaders made us feel safe on the road. One would be in front and the other in the back. Constantly giving us info over the intercom: "car overtaking," "use lowest gear," "pull over to the right, turn coming up," and so on. In the morning, the tuktuks were ready to go – turned around pointing in the right direction and tidied up, and all we had to do was get in and turn the key. So much care and thoughts have gone into planning the tours by the company. We are in our 70es and always travel on our own. We had brought stuff for all events, but it was not needed because so had the tour-leaders. Every tuktuk has a chilly bin which, magically, is full every morning, and fresh water is supplied as you need it, in your new souvenir water bottle. Each vehicle also has mozzie spray, umbrellas, walking sticks, tissues, and cushions. Every morning, the tour leaders wrap your luggage in tarpaulins and strap it behind your tuktuk. The only thing we needed from the "stuff" we brought was our air mattresses. We always find them good to have when travelling in Asia or the Islands where the beds tend to be harder than ours at home. They caused much "envy" by some. Get a lightweight one (without pillow) and easy to blow up, and stick it under the mattress cover for a good sleep. And ladies, if you find a squat toilet hard to deal with, bring a "She-wee". We took turns driving, but if I were to go again, I would choose the option of having a driver. It IS great fun to drive the tuktuk and it feels like an accomplishment, but there is definitely something to be said for being a passenger and being able to relax, enjoy the scenery and interact with your travel companion. The only thing that did not work so well for me was the position of the brake pedal. Somehow, I had imagined it would have a handbrake like a motorcycle. I have a bit of arthritis in my right hip, and sitting in a position straddling the console and then having to lift my foot really high and sideways on and off the brake was difficult. If you are shortish and have small feet, it may help to ask for one of the tuktuks with a foot rest. The tuktuks have an automatic gearbox. Our tour-leaders were outstanding, and I cannot praise them enough. They worked hard around the clock and were not only attentive and professional but also fun to be around. We travelled from the second week of October and had great weather – only a couple of quick showers. The stops on the way gave a really good insight in Northern Thailand and of course, getting a sloppy elephant-trunk kiss for only 4 bananas was a highlight of the tour. 😊

Can highly recommend! We were asked to join friends who did this tour in 2023 and they enjoyed it so much, they came back for more. It was awesome, the tour leaders Yaya and Yuth went above and beyond to look after us and driving the Tuk Tuks was so much fun. A jam packed itenerary in a beautiful part of Thailand. Our group of ten had THE BEST time. A holiday with a difference.

If I could rate this higher, I would. What an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. I loved all of it, the scenery, temples, and elephants. Spending time with the elephants was a hard experience to top. We were able to feed, walk, and get into the water with them - such a majestic animal. They even kissed us. The scenery is fantastic, from the greens of the crops they farm to waterfalls. Every bit of land is used for produce, and you pass water buffalo that roam on the roads. The Temples are peaceful and full of reflection. The hike was lovely and not too strenuous. Our hike guides walked with us, pointing out various interesting things (snakes, fungi etc). The accommodation was amazing, but be prepared for a bed harder than you would have. Apart from that, all rooms were clean, tidy, and hospitable. You do get a couple of nights at a basic accommodation, but you are just sleeping in the rooms, and the others make up for it. Our Tuk guides/deivers were very knowledgeable, pointing out things to look at and where to take pictures.

From booking the trip to the finish we felt valued and cared for. Our trip leaders were attentive and fun to be with. We loved travelling around the countryside in our trusty little tuk tuk enjoying so many things, from bamboo rafting to walking with elephants, a not to be forgotten experience. We felt welcomed by the local people wherever we went. This has been quite a unique adventure and has whet our appetite for more of this type of holiday.
