We guarantee 100% No Shopping Stops in our tours. When you check some other tours, if they don't mention no shopping, they MUST have commissioned based shopping stops as jade factory or tea ceremony. Even you don't see shopping related words in their itineraries or product introduction, it is indeed a shopping tour. Be sure to check out with them about the shopping stops and read reviews from their clients carefully to see what the real experience would be. By joining a shopping tour like that, your time spent on attractions will be shortened, and you will be pressured to buy overpriced items. Normally the so called jade factory or tea ceremony is the tourist trap. You have to stay there an hour or more for those travel agents to get the commission from the factory stores. If you prefer to enjoy the tour thoroughly, you are suggested to choose a tour without any annoying shopping stops just like ours.
We offer free pick-up & drop-off from hotels in Wulingyuan near East Gate of the National Forest Park, or downtown Zhangjiajie City.
Travelers will be picked up in the morning according to their hotel locations. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed the day before. Please be ready at the hotel lobby at least 5 minutes in advance, which is the maximum waiting time.
Please provide the correct passport information for booking the real-name entrance tickets. And also please make sure to carry the same identification for entry while traveling. Otherwise, entry might not be permitted.
The time schedule of the itinerary is for reference only. The sightseeing order of the attractions might be adjusted according to real situations, and the two-day tours swapped sometimes.
Public Holidays: Please aware there will be large crowds and heavy traffic in Chinese public holidays like May Day from May 1st to 5th and National Day from Oct 1st to 7th. We will do the best to arrange the tour.
About Tianmen Mountain: It has 3 kinds of tickets for different sightseeing routes: A, B and C. Usually, we will book the route A or B for you, while, in holidays, tickets are always in great demands, so we cannot guarantee. Route C will sometimes be reserved to ensure your entry.

BaiLong Elevator
In the morning, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby. The meeting time will be confirmed with you before your tour starts. Then let's start the amazing journey to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. After entering the East Gate, your guide will first escort you to take the Bailong Elevator, the world’s tallest and fastest outdoor sightseeing lift listed in the Guinness World Records.
Coming out of the elevator, you will reach Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. The most famous site here is the Hallelujah Mountain, which was the inspiration for the floating mountain in the sci-fi movie Avatar. You will also be constantly mesmerized by other natural wonders like the Back Garden, Enchanting Platform, and First Bridge under Heaven. Lunch today is at your own expense. Food options are available on the mountain area with a bit higher prices. Our guide will offer suggestions and assistance. However, the taste of the local dishes is more spicy, salty and greasy, so some people may not like it. For this reason, we would suggest you have a hearty breakfast at hotel and pack some breads or snacks for a simple lunch.
Tianzi Mountain
Let’s take a shuttle bus to Tianzi Mountain, which is known as “an enlarged bonsai, a minified fairyland”. With many types of rare plants and protected animals, it is a paradise for nature lovers to explore. Descend the mountain by cable car with your tour guide accompanied.
Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge
Next you will experience the Glass Bridge that spans the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Dare you to walk across this world's highest and longest transparent bridge? Give it a try, and you will feel as if you are wandering in the air! If you are afraid of heights, you can also follow the opaque sections on either side. Being actually on it, you could not help but let out a wow when beholding the panoramic view of the canyon and the abyss beneath your feet. Note that Bungee jumping, sightseeing elevator, zipline, and lake cruise are not included in the entrance charge of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon and tours.

In the morning, our guide will pick you up from your own booked hotel at the time previously agreed with you and drive to the Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park.
Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
Today we will visit the Tianmen Mountain, the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie. Here lies the most celebrated Tianmen Cave (Heaven's Gate), the thrilling Glass Skywalk, and the world’s longest passenger cableway, which will offer you a double enjoyment of beauty and excitement. The Tianmen Cave, a giant natural hole that not only boasts many ancient Chinese myths but also is fanatic for extreme sports enthusiasts, along with the 999-step Heavenly Stairway in front of it, makes you feel that heaven is within reach. When touring at the summit, pluck up your courage and challenge the Glass Skywalk hanging onto a cliff. Note that you need to pay for a pair of shoe covers yourself to stroll through this transparent path. Moreover, we’ll arrange for you the 28-minute cable car ride between the summit and the downtown, which will unfold Zhangjiajie’s mountain scenery, countryside scenes, and city sights before your eyes. At the end of this tour, you will be escorted back to your hotel.

As for our trip, we were very blessed to have a very caring n loving tour guide, Tracy. She speaks good English n she has good knowledge n knows the history of the places that we visited well. She still has room for improvement. She makes us feel very welcome in Zhangjiajie. She prepares very well for her guests like prepare shoe covers for us when it's raining, umbrellas n even gives us gifts n her homemade snacks which she doesn't have to but it's this little gifts that makes you felt the love n warmth from her. 5.00We are a Norwegian family of four adults travelling to Zhangjiajie for the first time at the end of the Chinese new years holiday in February. As expected there were some crowds and long queues, but our excellent guide LJ swiftly got us through all of them with ease. He really knew his ways both around the ticket offices, the queue systems and also the local nature, history, folklore and customs. A very lovely person in every sense of the word; calm, kind and well spoken. He managed to relay the stories and memories of the Tujia people, the geography, the development of the area and his own experience growing in this area and seeing all the changed first hand. Our flight was delayed arriving in Zhangjiajie, which affected our scheduled program, however our guide LJ managed to quickly shuffle it around so that we got through everything in the end. Travelling from Norway, we’re fairly spoilt when it comes to beautiful nature. Yet this place left us completely speechless. We were lucky enough to see the incredible mountains in both sun, fog AND snowy conditions - all with its own kind of beauty. We did the schedule in 3 days, and still felt like we got a lot out of it. Without the guide and arrangement from Travel China Guide, we probably wouldn’t have been able to get through even 1/3rd of it. Everything went smooth and as promised, airport pickups, hotel check-in, attraction tickets, driver to and from the various locations and so on. Even food recommendations were great! Overall a fantastic experience - highly recommended!

3.00Views were amazing. Took a lot of photos. The climb up the mountains were tedious. The glass bridge is a great experience. The flying fox and slides were memorable. The elevator up the mountain make me queue for 2 hours. Food here is oily and tasteless, not to mention spicy.

5.00Probably the best travel company and travel consultant I have ever interacted with in all my years of travelling. Huge recognition and thank you to Kina Lu for making our tour and general travelling in China so smooth. Kina was professional and very efficient. We booked onto the Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang tour and she was meticulous in detail. She was also very considerate in her advice e.g how early should arrive at station, any other requirements etc. Her communication was speedy and clear. I didn’t know whether she could arrange train tickets outside of the tour but she could and that was very helpful. I interacted with her both in UK and when I arrived in China. She is exceptional. In addition the local guide that we were allocated for the tour Hedy (or Heidi as it came up on WeChat) was absolutely fantastic as well. Very warm, professional and also considerate. We had three children with us and my youngest wasn’t particularly great at queuing in the heat like cattle so she took him with her on the tour guide side to help him relax. She really looked after us and our needs whilst travelling, giving us great information on the area and answering questions we had. We dressed up at Fenghuang and she was so patient as we didn’t finish or get back to the hotel until 10pm or later. Prior to this tour I had only ever booked train tickets on line for family and never used them to book tours. This was my first time using them for a tour as I needed it to be easy with children and they certainly delivered. The hotels were great and the local restaurants you eat at for lunch are delicious and authentic to the area. Private driver was great to have especially with kids, Mr Ding was great. If you do this tour - I hope you get Kina organising for you! Because of Kina’s fantastic service I will be using them again for a trip next year. Thank you Kina for making our travel to China so easy and fun! You are an asset to the company.
