Where to start? Our guide Luis met us when our 3 hour late train arrived in Aguas Calientes. Peru Rail has problems but more on that later. He meets us at the hotel at 6 am to take us on an amazing, informative experience around Machu Pichu. Here is where Luis went above and beyond: Peru Rail had a strike and our train back and all other trains that day were indefinitely postponed. We were stuck in Aguas Calientes and train is the only transportation and we had to catch a flight the next day. The only workable solution to get us back to Cusco was to walk 6.5 miles down train tracks to the hydroelectric plant where buses were transporting people back to Cusco. Luis walked with us and gave us historical and nature tidbits along the way and kept our spirits level. After the long bus ride we finally got back to Cusco at around midnight. Luis got us a cab and rode along with us and made sure we got to the hotel. The whole time we were with him he kept the mood light and was genuinely concerned about making sure we got back safe. Five stars is not enough for Luis. Our tour with him was over and he could of just left us. He stepped up and took care of us. My wife and I don't speak Spanish and we saw a bunch of people at the train station with no options but to wait for a train that never came. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Gary who did a great job the day before telling us about the Sacred Valley and working the phones for us and calmly explaining our options during the rail strike.

Alex.. was absolutely amazing! Understanding that some people may not have the length of time to do the 2-day trip, we highly recommend that you prepare your visit duration for it. A one day trip can be rushed and you may miss key components of your vacation. The company absolutely crushed all of the travel requirements and kept us completely informed at all times! Truly loved and enjoyed every minute of our adventure! Highly recommend!

The tour was very well curated and executed . Our guide was very friendly and shared lot of useful information of every site in details. The buffet was amazing..and last but not the least the instructions to the Machhu Pichu made our dream come true. Only one thing can be improved ,is the waiting time from Aguas Calintes was too long ,which can be adjusted according to the timings. Highly recommend it.
