Actually, never went on the tour due to a number of events that led up to my friend and I having to cancel and hope that we got our money back. After traveling from Gander to Twillingate arriving over 90 minutes early in anticipation of a great tour to see Icebergs we decided to have a quick lunch at the Tours cafe. $30 for a lobster roll (croissant with a scoop of lobster salad) was a total rip off. Went out to the meeting area for the boat at 1245pm( tour was to commence at 1pm). When the boat was still no where in sight at 1315pm, another tourist and myself went to check on the status of the cruise as we both had to be back in Gander by 5pm for another commitment. We were informed that the tour was not scheduled to start until 2pm( even though everyone’s ticket indicated the start time of 1pm. We were also informed that the tour was a three hour tour, not 2 hours as indicated on our tickets. The staff at Iceberg Quest were very disorganized, not knowledgeable and rude about our predicament to have to cancel due to miscommunication. I was informed after dealing with the Iceberg Quest staff( three different employees) that I would have to contact the company through which I purchased the 2 hour tour to inquire about receiving compensation for cancellation. Thankfully I was fully compensated by this company after detailing the reason for cancellation. If you want to see Icebergs, I wouldn’t recommend this company.

I had the most wonderful experience with Iceberg Quest! The crew were fantastic; so knowledgeable and engaging with all the guests. I went late in the season so was not expecting to have a whale encounter, but I was lucky enough to experience some ‘August Whales’ and it was magical! Captain Barry was great, and clearly very skilled - he spotted the whales from a distance, and once we reached them, he (with the help of his brilliant crew) ensured that all guests had the best views and chances to watch / photographed the magnificent creatures! Gillian was an excellent guide, giving lots of information about the area as we travelled - she was also a great host in their Bistro on the dock and her lobster rolls are to die for! As well as being an amazing whale watching tour, the crew were so helpful in making recommendations for the local area and I really can’t rate them highly enough!

We were late in the season for whales and icebergs but we were still hopeful. Alas it wasn’t to be. Regardless, it was a great cruise. Crew were very informative and the weather was beautiful. If anything it was too hot 😀. We knew seeing whales was a long shot so we weren’t too disappointed. Overall, a nice time. Suggest if you want to see icebergs and whales you try earlier in the year.

Rescheduled our tour 3 times over 2 days. Expect visitors just to be setting around waiting on them to decide whether they will be a tour.

We had a great time seeing the whales. One of the crew members would tell us when the whale tail would come out of the water, which we thought was pretty cool. Then we got to sing and play the ugly stick on the way back to the dock. The only thing that would have been better, was to see an iceberg but we missed the season.

It was too late in the season for icebergs but the whales and dolphins made up for it! Captain Rodger’s knew where to go and crew Josh and Gary were great to travel with. Jillian went over and above suggesting tourist things to do while we waited and then making lobster rolls for us after to take to our airbnb for supper!

Boat ride massively extended to chase down one of the season’s last icebergs. So grateful for the chance to see it. Thanks to the intrepid crew!

We had an exceptional experience with the Iceberg tour! It was the highlight of our vacation, experiencing the beauty of an Iceberg in mid July! The captain was amazing, his years of experience was evident. We had so much fun with the crew members. If you want to see icebergs, we recommend you go with Iceberg Quest! Thank you for the amazing tour! Kim & Dale, Ontario
