Sail on a special river, in the heart of the first demarcated wine region in the world, and a UNESCO heritage site.
We start in Pinhão, passing under the Eiffel iron bridge, sailing up the river to the Roncão area, returning to Pinhão.
You will see terraced vineyards right down to the river, in a landscape without national roads or road traffic.
Although the section of river on the way back is the same, it could very well be different, as when seen from another direction it creates completely different views and landscapes.
Traditional Rabelo boats have open and closed areas, allowing comfortable navigation at any time of year and weather.

5.00This was a lovely, two-hour ride on a nice day that allowed us to see the Douro Valley from the river. I would highly recommend this activity. The only problem is that we had trouble with the audio guide program.

5.00We took the 1hr cruise.Weather perfect which is of course beyond any control.Do not fret about commentaries or audio..just sit back and relax.We were aboard the largest vessel which is smooth and steady.Very good value...(have a look at Swiss lake cruises.)

1.00Bad experience, boring cruise!!!! We were all bored. They recommend downloading an app where you can listen to the audio guide, the Italian language was not present. On the boat there are two people doing little nothing, instead of an audio guide they could engage the audience with something more interesting! If you just do the one hour cruise.... but two hours are not recommended, the view is all the same! 25 euros a really excessive price! Fortunately the boat was covered and so at least we were in the shade because the heat was really crazy!

5.00Super experience. 2-hour is appropriate. Really nice. Although the back is warm on the pier, there was fine on the boat. Many tourists compete to get one of the uncovered seats in front of the boat...and quickly regret it!

5.00We had a lovely experience on our two-hour private rabelo boat cruise from Pinhão with Magnífico Douro. Our pilot, Bruno, was warm and welcoming, and shared some interesting fun facts about the area and its famous vineyards along the way. The traditional rabelo boat was perfectly sized for our group of nine, offering plenty of space to relax and take in the scenery from the calm water. Our cruise included a stop to swim in the river. The kids (and some adults!) loved jumping off the boat and pier into the clean water - very refreshing on a hot August afternoon. All in all, a pleasant and relaxing way to experience the Douro Valley, and a perfect complement to the views from the train ride into Pinhão. Highly recommended!
