My husband and I had a lovely late afternoon sunset boat ride with Maria and Fabiana. Maria was tremendously knowledgeable about the area, from the surrounding vineyards to facts about the river. An hour was long enough for the actual boat traverse since he sun was down by the time we docked. We had a great time overall.

This was a fantastic experience. Even though the day was full of rain, the clear covers kept us dry and the views were wonderful. The two wines were quality wines.David and Jiao(?) were excellent Guides and answered all our questions. Because the boat is electric, conversing with the others on the trip was easy. This was a special way to spend an hour on the Duoro River.

A very pleasant experience, with a very engaging guide & two lovely local wines. The solar-powered boat was particularly interesting & of course quiet.

Lovely couple gave us a gentle tour on the wayer . It was raining but,the plastic side covers kept us dry . We tasted two local wines , learned about the Duoro Valley history and enjoyed visiting the other people on the boat . So kind that he waited 5 minutes, as our train came late .

Weather cleared for a beautiful trip down the river. The advantage of the quiet solar boat was lost a little with the private conversations of the tour guide during the trip. Apart from this, they were knowledgeable and friendly and would still recommend.

The morning started out with light rain but the boat has plastic walls and blankets so you don’t get drenched (unless you’re at the front!). I liked the quietness of the electric motor, and the calmness of the river. It stopped raining and was even better. The guide was nice and very knowledgeable. We tried a white wine and fortified wine and refills were €2.50 or €3.00! Perfect for a group of friends or in our case, my husband and I became part of a group of friends from Texas that were joining the tour. It was a long enough ride to enjoy the views but not too long that you can’t plan a day of other activities. A great way to start the day full of visiting quintas.

Nice quiet hour ride on the river with two tastings that were both good. Views were beautiful from the river. Our host was knowledgable and we enjoyed this smaller tour that was much more preferred over the other larger boats. They sent details to me about our tour and how to get there by train and where to meet for the boat, however, if you're driving there by car like we did there was no information about where to park. I did reach out and they responded about where to park. Not an easy place to park in with the narrow street getting down to the water area. You would think they would include that info in their standard instructions. Nice brief tour and worth the price if you don't want to spend a lot of time on the river.
