W.E.B. DuBois Center

We shall the Dubois center to learn the history of William Edward Burghardt Du Bois. W.E.B Dubois was an American sociologist, socialist, historian, and Pan-Africanist, Civil rights activist who was invited by Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah to edit a book but later died and buried in Accra Ghana. He fought for the liberation of black people across America and beyond.

National Museum of Ghana

The National Museum of Ghana is in the Ghanaian capital, Accra. It is the largest and oldest of the six museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board. The museum building was opened on 5 March 1957 as part of Ghana's independence celebrations. The museum was build to showcase the the Ghanaian culture and Africa settings.

A drive through Makola market the biggest market in Ghana. See how market women struggle each day to earn a living and also have opportunity to buy one or two things of your choice

Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park

We shall tour Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum where the first Ghanaian President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah's remains was finally buried. The park is full of Kwame Nkruma's history and his work as Pan-Africanist.

Center for National Culture

We shall also visit the Arts market to buy art works or admire the various art works. Have opportunist to buy as well.

We will visit the parade ground of Independence and take pictures etc.

Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park

we visit the Assin Manso slave river site which served as the place where slaves had their last bath on African soil before being marched down to the slave castles. They were fed and cleaned so they appeared attractive and healthy to guarantee higher prices. hot branding irons were used to burn identifying marks onto the skin of captives. The marks were a scar on the shoulder, breast or upper arm to show ownership. Other times, branding was used to show that proper duty had been paid. it is now a sacred place of remembrance. it is home for the first 2 diasporas (Lady Crystal from Jamaica and Samuel Carson from New York) whose remains were brought to Ghana through the “door of return” and Reburied. Also remains of African slave descendants from Barbados are buried on the site to symbolize emancipation and re-connection.

Cape Coast Castle

Cape Coast Castle served as one of the slave castles built on the shores of Ghana. It also served as the Administration center for British rule in West Africa. Participants will visit the museum and dungeons where slaves were kept while awaiting shipping to the New World.

Elmina Castle

At Elmina Castle, participants will have the opportunity to see the oldest European building (built 1482) in Sub Sahara Africa and also listen to the horrors of the slave trade.

Kakum National Park

Participants will go on a hike through the rain forest and walk on the Canopy Walk Way

Axim

After Kakum national park, we will then transfer to Western Region for the rest of our tour.

Nkroful

A visit to Ghanaian first President Dr Kwame Nkrumah hometown and where he was second buried before moving his body to Accra for his finally burial place at Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.

Nzulezo Stilt Village Tour

Nzulezo is a traditional built village on water. We shall visit the village on for history and admire how they live there for many years
