If you want to have an interesting and magical experience, being in this place will be wonderful. It is considered the First Wonder in Colombia because its structure is made all with Salt. Have you been in a building entirely made of salt before? Here you will be in one, and besides how wonderful it is to feel the power of nature and the legacy of Latin American architecture, you will have the opportunity to feel a spiritual experience. Regardless of your religion, here you can connect with the greater forces of the nature and, if it is your style, you will ask yourself questions about the world's great mysteries. If you really want to enjoy and tell a lifetime experience, this is your place!

We booked the shared group tour to Zipaquira last-minute around 7 PM and promptly received our confirmation for the pick-up the very next day. The contact through Whatsapp was clear and went very well. The tour itself started at 9 AM and ended around 4:30 PM. We went to the city center of Zipaquira after which our group (which existed of only 6 for the day) visited the Salt Cathedral. For personal reasons we decided to skip the second part and head back into the town center for our own walk. Our guide, Estéban, was very understanding and helped us plan our short walk away from the group. Other than that, he gave us interesting information during the 1,5 hour bus ride and kept us entertained. For those wondering about logistics: the bus offered free WiFi, lunch is not included (but can either be ordered at the restaurant stopped or somewhere else if you prefer). All in all, the tour definitely kept up with our expectations and we ended the day happy to have booked it. If you have more time in Bogotá, it's definitely possible to use public transport to reach Zipaquirá, but the comfort, safety and logistical reassurance of this group tour was well worth the money for us.

The Salt Cathedral completely beat my expectations by massive scale and the artistic details carved directly into the salt mines which is something you must witness in person. The trip logistics were seamless, largely thanks to our incredible guide, Esteban. He did a fantastic job managing the group and keeping everyone happy. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Bogotá!

From the pick up to the start of the experience it was great. Esteban our guide cleared all our doubts, was patient and friendly at all times. It really is something I recommend doing, it is a unique and worthwhile experience. The option of the restaurant where they have reservation seems super, the food is typical and they are very friendly. The detail of the flags on the table I found very cute!

We very much enjoyed our visit to the Cathedral of Salt in Zipaquirá. It’s a really impressive place: its majesty and the immense spaces leave you speechless. Our guide, Esteban, was always attentive to everything and made our experience even more special with his explanations. The restaurant chosen for the meal was very pleasant, with a welcoming Mood and perfect to rest before continuing. A tip: if you plan to buy souvenirs inside the Cathedral, do so in advance, because there are many activities and places worth exploring without rush. A 100% recommended visit and an experience that stays forever recorded.
