Ride your horse around the San Rafael dam up into the high Andes mountains of La Calera. Enjoy a fun ride with spectacular views and lush forest vegetation. The horse trail goes along dirt roads and cobblestone pathways up into the mountains through a majestic Andean forest. Amazing scenery awaits!
Note: Everyone joining this tour must wear a helmet and keep it on at ALL times. Failure to wear a helmet will cause the cancellation of the tour without refunds.

What To Expect
Upon departure drive up through the Eastern Mountains to La Calera (1.5 hours). Meet your local guide and set up for the ride. Horseback ride through scenic mountain trails, farm land and even visit a small waterfall (1.5 to 3 hours). Experienced riders are able to gallop on open fields. Taste home made sugarcane tea. Return to the city (1.5 hours) Note: This is a group activity and you MAY be joined by other travelers at any point during the tour. Everyone joining this tour MUST wear a helmet and keep it on at all times. Failure to wear a helmet will cause the cancellation of the tour with no refunds.

5.00Everything was so smooth from pick up to drop off. Diego and Daniel were great as were the lovely well kept horses. Plenty of photo stops along the way and we had a chance to watch the paragliding, all finished off with a hot local beverage! Would recommend.

5.00Was met by welcoming people with warm smiles. The horses looked healthy. Mine was a bit docile, but he responded to my commands. The trip up the mountain was uneventful, almost calming. The unique nature of riding a horse kept me focused on the whole experience. The view at the top was breathtaking. Overall, I felt well taken care of.

5.00This is an amazing experience and cannot recommend this company and team enough!This was my boyfriend’s and I first time in Colombia and I had always wanted to ride horses so we found this activity recommended for things to do in Bogota on trip advisor! The process was so easy, and the team was very communicative when we asked about drop off times and location pick ups. Our wonderful guide Diego did our part of the tour in English since we did not speak much Spanish and he made sure every part of the trip was comfortable! The horses are so sweet and very beginner friendly (I had never ridden a horse) and I would recommend this as a great excursion if you’re wanting to see some pretty mountainous views away from the city! I went in August and wore long jeans + a coat which was great for the weather since we got lucky and didn’t have any rain. 100% would recommend this to others to try, we had such a fun time!

5.00This horseback riding experience was INCREDIBLE. It was me and my friend’s first time in South America, and she was an avid rider as a child so this experience was very special for her. The weather could not have been more perfect! We got some tasty snacks on the trail of some type of grapes and the views were unbeatable. The hosts were very friendly and the horses had so much personality. Diego was a great translator and guide! Definitely a huge highlight of our trip.

5.00Our guide, Diego, was excellent and spoke English very well! We were picked up from our hotel and felt very safe and comfortable the entire time. Diego shared some of the history and interesting information about Bogota on our drive. I participated in this activity with my 12-year old daughter and she absolutely loved it. We went in June and it was a little chilly and rained a bit, so definitely recommend long sleeves and pants. Also, recommend shoes you don't mind getting muddy or dirty. The trail is in the Andes Mountains, so be prepared for some steep inclines ascending and descending, narrow paths, and rocky paths. But Diego helped us to go slowly so we felt comfortable, and the horses were very familiar with the path. The scenery was amazing! The only negative was that the guide took pictures during the trip, but did not share them with us afterward, so that would have been nice to have. Otherwise, we highly recommend the experience!

5.00It was a lot of fun and the views are unbeatable. Diego was so nice and very knowledgeable. The horses were beautiful and easy to ride. We learned a lot of the city and also La Calera. We got to try native fruits straight from the trees and saw a beautiful waterfall. It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend.
