  Very knowledgeable and enjoyable. Willing to answer any question and go as deep as we wished with background and history. Josh has studied archaeology, as well as the history and all facets relating to different religions represented in the area. Very comfortable and hospitable and agreeable. I have done another one of these tours and this was definitely the best.

  I had an amazing time with Fatima. It was easy to meet with her and we got back to the Viking cruise boat on time. She was very informative on Ephesus and Mary's house. We enjoyed learning how the woman make rugs and the talent it takes is pretty amazing. The lunch was nice. We discovered apple tea and it was definitely one of my favorite things. The car is relaxing and the driver did an amazing job.

  Tour was on time and waiting for us and easy to find when leaving the cruise ship. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and the driver was prompt and courteous. Overall a great experience.

  I visited them during our cruise stop in Kusadasi. We first traveled to the house of the Virgin Mary. The Gospel of John says that Jesus entrusted him with the care of his mother after his death, and so in the last years of her life he helped her settle in a house at an altitude of about 425m in Ephesus. The location does not interfere with the religious understanding of the Virgin Mary - she is mentioned in the Quran as Maryam about 36 times. The house was discovered with the help of German clairvoyant Anna Katrina Emmerich, a photo of whom is at the entrance to the house. It is believed that the place is holy and hears and fulfills wishes. There is a wall of wishes made by visitors, on which each tourist writes their wish on a piece of paper, and at the end of the week the nuns collect them. You can write your, but somehow it feels that in this place it will be heard even without the paper. After the house of the Virgin Mary, we headed to Ephesus - one of the ancient cities, the remains of which remain to this day. In fact, there were 5 different Ephesus cities perceived as large modern cities. The first is said to have appeared from Prince Androclus, who was presented with a fish, a wild boar and a fire, but he could not connect these signs. Until one day, from a great devastating fire, he started running to save himself from hunger, he chased a wild boar, and it led him to a place where he created the first Ephesus. The second Ephesus is known as the city of Artemis, the fourth is where John the Baptist is buried, and the fifth, the current Ephesus, is Seljuk. And the remains that are visible are from the third city. We examined the parliament, the theater, the supreme court, the first sewer, the marble walls and floor, the famous library of Ephesus, under which, however, there was a tunnel to the brothel, right opposite it. We visited the public toilets, which were shared and an orchestra played in the middle of the space to drown out the unpleasant sounds. We passed by the wall of Hercules and the statue of Nike. You definitely must take a picture of yourself there!

  What a fabulous trip with an awesome guide Yigithan. He took fabulous care of us, his knowledge was incredible. The tour went smoothly. We were immediately welcomed, the taxi was cool and easy, he thought of everything. Highly recommend taking a tour with this guide.

  I got the Iglesias Turkey Tour, and FATIMA, our very patient guide is the BEST!!! The tour itself was amazing and perfect. It was very knowledgeable. Fatima was very energetic and friendly. She explained evey nook and crany of Ephesus and Mama Mary’s house to detail. She entertained every request we had. They picked us up at the hotel on the dot. The van we used was new, clean and no smell. Our driver Halil, was courteous. He opens doors for us. When coming to Kusadasi/ Ephesus/ Selcuk/ Izmir… i highly highly suggest get them and her.

  

  

  

  

  

• Unwanted change in tour schedule

  The clear communication prior to the tour with the smooth coordination was fantastic. However I would like to point out some things that did not make this tour as good as expected. After comparing all possible tours from all the tour operators, I carefully choose this tour through Viator from Kusadasi Shore Excursions as the description on the Viator side about this tour is very inspiring. We visited the Virgin Mary's house first and thereafter Ephesus. The tour description states that we would have 2 hours in Ephesus, however after 67 minutes we were out of there. By the (to us) most important monument in Ephesus we were told to hurry as we had to leave. It was a few minutes after 17 o'clock and Ephesus would close at 18:00 o'clock. We did not had time to look at everything we wanted there. Once out of Ephesus we asked the guide why we were rushed out of Ephesus and he told us we were going to a carpet shop. This is not in the tour description. He told us he and the driver were hungry and had to eat dinner. We were less than 3 hours into the tour by that time. The drive to and back from the carpet shop and the stay there took almost an hour. He noticed I was upset about this unwanted change in the program and repeated 6 times in front of the whole group things like ''oh look, she is upset about going to a carpet shop'' and he said that I could have more time in Ephesus the next time I come back. It's not like I travel every year to Turkey or Kusadasi to visit Ephesus! Besides that the entry fee is very high, so not getting the time there we were looking forward to and to be treated by the tourguide like this, we experienced as denigrating and disrespectfull.

  Josh our tour guide was knowledgeable and excellent. He knew how to avoid the crowds and planned our day to maximize our time in port. We highly recommend booking an excursion with him.

  Josh our guide for the day was waiting for us outside as we were advised. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. He guided us around Kusadasi and Ephesus with ease citing history and stories to delight all. It was a fantastic day. We had great fun. The only advise I would give is that it was a long day sightseeing and there was no stopping for food, so take snacks
