  We had a great time! Got very dirty. Only down side ,we had to wait almost 2 hrs for our group to go. Some of the buggies broke down during the tour, thankfully not ours.

• Great ride. Very Exciting and Beautiful. Unforgettable experience. Should have done the 5 hour.

  They said we would get wet and dirty and they were right!! We had a blast!! Our guide was amazing. We really enjoyed the ride and the scenery. We would highly recommend this tour!! Be sure to stop and get one of the best MaiTai's before heading back to your hotel or ship!

  you will get muddy - but that's what makes it so much fun! They do offer bandanas and water proof phone cases to purchase - they are a must (you can obviously bring your own)

  Amazing trip! Great operators and guides! It is no joke - will be not just get muddy - you will be covered head to toe in mud, multiple times. They provide goggles and a bandana, but bring extra water to wash off your goggles, ziplock bags to protect everything. There are lockers available, use them. Bring extra clothes & towel and leave them there. Wear sandals that are completely water proof or crocs etc. At the halfway point you visit a small town/village. You get to taste some specialty alcohol, chocolate & coffee. You will get to rinse your face/hands and arms in a water fountain, but the rest of you will remain muddy for a while. So just get comfortable with being dirty. But this is the worst part of the trip as the folks in the village push HARD for you to buy souvenirs. Recommend bringing small bills and not a credit card at all. Bargain down hard too. Their prices are double what they will take. Save $40 for the paparazzi package (as the film/photo guy is great and it's a worthwhile souvenir of your experience) and a $20 or more tip for the guys who kept you safe and guided you through the whole thing. There were some issues with one of the vehicles breaking down and one getting stuck that the staff handled quickly (they have extra vehicles and just had the guests switch and pushed the stuck one out fast). They ran back and washed off our goggles and faces after every mud puddle. Warning for culture shock, DR is dirty. Trash everywhere. You will be leaving the 'shopping mall' of a port that they have there and going out into the real country. It is sad and depressing. But it is real. Your guides will keep you safe. The area of beach they have set aside for you to use, they clean 100 yards of it and it seemed very clean. But you'll travel past beach covered in trash, so be prepared.

  We were picked up from our hotel. Originally I had thought only cruise ship travellers were the only ones who can be picked up..spoke with the business and they had no issue with pick up and drop off to our hotel. Arrived at the site where we signed a waiver and were provided a bandana and a water protector case for our phone. They have a neat little shop with a bar on site as well. Fully safety gear is provided to you as well as far as helmets and code of conduct when operating their vehicles. We set out with our buggies to head through the jungle to a local shop called the " Jungle Stop". Due to the torrential rains the Dominican has been experiencing there was lots of water and mud. It got messy, but it was lots of fun heading to our destination We stopped at the "Jungle Stop" where they we're selling an assortment of souvenirs and cigars. They give you samples of their cocoa and coffee and some "Mamajuana" drink! We sampled Dominican cheeses and pop and hung out with some locals who had also gone out on the buggies. Everyone was so kind, gracious and generous sharing their food with us. We then drove to a local beach where we jumped in the water to rinse off. We at this point went back to the starting point. They do sell a video of the excursion for about 45 US if you are interested. We were driven back to our hotel. We'll worth it to immerse ourselves in Dominican culture and get to know the people!   We booked this buggy tour when we were in Amber Cove with our cruise. Something had gone wrong with the start time of the tour, but this was immediately fixed properly! We were taken by the organization and brought back to the cruise pier of Amber Cove (please allow at least 10 minutes walk) The buggy tour itself is really too much fun to do and an absolute must!!   Experience was great and the guides were amazing, patient and accommodating. Only bad thing I have to say was that we were very rushed at the buggies (around 30 minutes of total buggy time) because the waterfall experience took longer than expected. I suggest seeing if you can do the buggies first. Be prepared to hike. The jump into the waterfall was amazing!!!
