What To Expect
Megalochori - Traditional Village
Prophet Elias Monastery – Megalochori village – Akrotiri Excavations (with Guide, entrance fee 12,00 E) – Red Beach (aprox. 45 min free time, approach on foot 10 minsaprox, per way) - Perivolos Beach ( free time swimming) Start with the breath-taking view at the Prophet Elias Monastery and visit the picturesque monastery. Then follows Megalochori village, an extremely charming traditional settlement, almost abandoned after the big earthquake.
Akrotiri Archaeological Site
We visit Akrotiri excavations, one of the most significant archaelogical sites, that includes a vast structure, once habited by 200 families and preserved burried under the volcano’s lava.

5.00This tour was amazing. Akrotiri was more impressive to me than Pompeii on some levels and I would recommend to anyone. I think what made the whole tour more special was tania our guide. She was informative and fun and I have been on lots of tours around the world and she was the best guide I’ve had. Thank you for an amazing day

3.00The excavations visit was interesting. It was a long trek up a rocky path to view the red beach for a photo. Not good for the elderly or anyone unsteady on their feet.
