I had an amazing trip around Arusha with Doudi from Tanzania Songbirds Safari. He was a wonderful guide full of enthusiasm and history of the city. I especially appreciated how he helped me talk to the ladies working in the market. He translated allowing me to communicate with them so we could learn about each others lives. Some things were different but we still have many similarities. Doudi then went out of his way to tailor the trip to incorporate that I was interested in learning about birds and other animals resident in the city.

My guide was Daudi who is patient and nice. We visited 7 places on that day. It was a great chance to familiarise with local daily life, history and paintings. Daudi won’t force us to consume or give tips. That’s great~ I couldn’t speak English well, but Daudi told me try to say it slowly. Thank you for your patient😆

I highly recommend the walking tour of the city of Arusha with Israel ad your guide. He is well prepared and provides a very informative view of the city and of Tanzania. Our visit spanned from the Natural History Museum, where we learned about Tanzania’s colonial period and about the flora and fauna, to the African Heritage Centre and learned about African art (with some trulli beatiful pieces) and about Jane Goodall’s role in Tanzania’s preservation of the National Parks. We later went to the Tanzanite museum and saw how the gem is mined and cut and polished; all explained very well by Hassan. Then Israel walked us through the local food market where we could observe the local products and understand how the available foods influenze Tanzanian culture. We can say that the walking tour with Israel was a great experience!

Israel was a great guide. He was really kind, patient and professional. He showed us Arusha and told us about the history of the town and Tanzania, teaching us about the culture and history of this beautiful country and its great people. My favorite thing about the tour was going to the local food market. It was a great way to see how locals live their daily lives. If I ever go back to Tanzania, I will contact Israel for sure, but in the meantime I will recommend him to anyone!

Daudi is a great guide through Arusha. Although the city is quieter than some other African cities, it is quite a jungle by European experieces. By the way, Daudi gave a small language course. The tour took about 4 hours through the city.

What an AMAZING experience this was! One of the best things I did in Tanzania was booking this tour. My guide, Daudì, was incredible. His knowledge of the city was impressive, and he answered all my questions. It felt like exploring the city with a good friend. He is a genuinely awesome person, and he made my last day in Arusha truly special. This was definitely one of the best city tours I’ve ever experienced, and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn more about the city and properly explore it. You’ll get the best experience! Amazing, amazing, amazing!

We had an amazing walking tour with Israel! From the very beginning, he set the perfect pace for us, making sure we were comfortable and able to enjoy every moment. Israel is incredibly humble, yet his knowledge of the city, its history, and its hidden stories is truly impressive. He answered every question with clarity and passion, and you can feel how much he loves Arusha. From the museums to the market, it was perfect. What really stood out was how attentive and easygoing he was, it felt like exploring the city with a friend who just happens to know everything about it. We never felt rushed, and he tailored the experience to what we were most interested in. If you’re looking for a guide who is kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to giving you a great experience, Israel is the one. Highly recommended!
