If you’re passionate about sushi and eager to try something new, this small-group, 4-course cooking class hosted through Cozymeal in Hong Kong is for you. Guided by a skilled local chef, you’ll learn to season rice, shape perfect sushi donuts and work confidently with fresh seafood.
During the class, you’ll create:
- First course: Mixed seafood scallion pancake with oysters, squids, prawns, scallions and chili sauce
- Second course: Sushi donuts with Japanese rice, seaweed, raw fish, salmon roe, prawns and squid
- Third course: Garlic stir-fry choy sum with garlic paste and local green leaf vegetables
- Dessert: Mango coconut soup with pomelo made from mango, sago, coconut cream and pomelo

Perfect cooking class with a great chef in a perfect setting. Our chef walked us through how to shape sushi donuts, prep seafood scallion pancakes, wok-fry some greens, and even make a mango coconut dessert that was deliciously creamy. Everything felt effortless and playful. This was definitely one of our most favorite memories from Hong Kong.

We had such a good time at this sushi donut class. The atmosphere was super relaxed, the chef was very approchable and the class was hands-on. We made seafood scallion pancakes shaped like donuts then assembled sushi donuts topped with salmon roe prawns and squid. We also stirred up garlic choy sum and enjoyed a refreshing mango coconut soup with pomelo for dessert. The small group made it feel social and it was never rushed.

Our chef made this sushi class a fantastic experience from start to finish. He was friendly, patient and showed us how to make sushi rice, cut fish properly and roll different kinds of sushi like maki, nigiri and hand rolls. It was fun, hands-on and super approachable. We ended up with a beautiful plate of sushi that we were proud of. Highly recommended for sushi lovers!
