5.00I'm a tourist with checklist, not an art historian. The greatest efficiency hack was this tour. The tour is meant to viewed, not eaten. You'll see amazing architecture and aartwork, but you'll eat meals fro highway rest stops. The tour doesn't just show you two cities, it shows you evolution of the Italian spirit across centuries, from imperial power to artistic genius.

5.00We were nervous about the distance, but this private tour was so much faster than the cruise line's big buses. We spent less time waiting for people and more time exploring the Santa Croce area. The leather market in Florence is fun, but watch the prices! Our driver was very professional and kept a close eye on the traffic for our return to La Spezia. It’s a long day, so wear your most comfortable walking shoes

5.00We stopped at Pisa first, which was great because we arrived before the massive tour buses. We had just enough time to take the classic photos and grab a quick espresso. Florence is a bit of a whirlwind because there is so much to see, but being dropped off right in the center saved us miles of walking. Made it back to the ship with time to spare!

5.00There were crowded and boisterous areas of Florence, but the atmosphere drastically changes as you move into the city's quieter neighborhoods. Instead of visiting large galleries, we concentrated on the city's architecture and atmosphere. It was less of a tour and more of leisurely journey through the center of Tuscany.

5.00Booked this last minute and wasn't hoping much. Though Florence was total pandemonium with throngs everywhere, it somehow still functioned. Giovanni kept luring us into more subdued areas and directing things as we walked not halting every two minutes. Pisa was lighter, more airy, more breathing room. Yes it's a long day from La spezia; yes, you're exhausted at the conclusion; nevertheless, we never felt lost or anxious about time .
