5.00Great trip. The bus from port to Florence was in excellent shape…especially the AC. Lumi was our guide and did an excellent job on ensuring we were back on time. We chose the walk around Florence on our own, it was perfect. We did order tickets to the art gallery where the David statue is on display the day before for 2:30 pm time a lot. Showed up 20 minutes early and were let in early which gave us more than enough time to get back to the meeting point at 4:10. Loved seeing the sites in Florence.

3.00The guide was very friendly but it was hard to understand and hear her. I tried to communicate with them prior to our trip and couldn’t get information from them on what time the free time would be in order to purchase tickets to Academia(which wasn’t available through Viator the day we went but was available directly). We weren’t able to purchase the tickets the day of. The day before they asked us to arrive an hour before our scheduled time in order to leave early, but we didn’t end up leaving until the original scheduled time so we waited around for an hour. I think it may have been better to just do the transportation (which took 2hours each way) and plan the 4 hours ourselves.

2.00If you think you’re going into this excursion and You have purchased a ticket to the academia museum, just know that you do not get that ticket right away In our case, my husband couldn’t walk real fast and our guide was walking very fast. Also, if you weren’t right next to her, you did not know what was going on as there were no headphones with this excursion.. When I informed her of the situation, she told us to meet her somewhere, but it was very confusing as there were so many people, and it took us a long time to figure out how to get to the meeting spot All we wanted was our tickets to the academia museum and it took forever to get them. I wanted to give this excursion, no stars, but it deserves one star for the great bus ride out there and one star for the academia museum, which was very good But we didn’t know that once we got to the museum we were gonna have to wait in very long line in order to get in. We thought we could go ride in, however, that was not the case.. We had never been to Florence before and had no idea where we were going, and the guide was not much help On our paperwork before hand, it said we were gonna do certain things in an order that we did not do them!! Except for the academia museum and finally getting in there and seeing the statue of David, that was the best thing of the whole day so if that’s all you’re looking for it’s worth it!!

3.00Well, if you’re worried about making it to the bus, it wasn’t a problem. We were there 15 minutes early, but the group couldn’t figure out who should be in what bus and we didn’t leave until after 8:00. Maybe 8:10. Therefore we also arrived later to Florence and we just missed our viator bike tour. Which we are not being reimbursed for.
