He was not only kind and helpful but also incredibly knowledgeable about history and archaeology, even beyond the sites we visited. Even though we were tired, but he was completely engaged thanks to his passion and storytelling.

5.00Really great experience. Travelling with my partner and our 10 year old, who's never going to be a fan of things that involve a lot of sitting down (unless there's a screen involved!) We all loved it. Child was getting antsy by about 3/4 of the way through, but they were tired- the fact it took that long is testament to the quality of the experience. It was the most chilled I've felt for ages. It's 30C here at the moment and being out on the yacht with a strong wind was so pleasant - partner and I were fine in tshirts but child needed the hoodie we'd brought. We sat on the lower deck at the back on the left which was great. Wherever you sit (inside, lower or upper deck) sit on the left/port side if you're interested in seeing the shoreline as clearly as possible. We worried slightly the yacht might feel small or cramped but not at all - there was loads of space and ability to move around to other areas if you wanted, I haven't tried other boat tours but seems like this is the differentiating factor for this one - the space and no crowding. The crew were all lovely with great English. Snacks and drinks were carefully chosen and just right (but don't come hungry, they really are - exactly as advertised - snacks and not a meal). It was just such s memorable experience, cruising up and down the Bosphorous at sunset. I've done similar things in purge countries but this was the best so far. If you're agonising over whether to book - do it! Oh, and instructions on where to meet were great too, both before and after booking. Google maps directions are accurate and if you can arrive by tram, do so. We were staying at the Conrad in Besiktas rather than the Old Town so we couldn't, but we got the bus which is fast, easy and cheap. Highly recommend - thanks to everyone and as I said in the title, if we return to Istanbul we will repeat (tempted to repeat again this week!)
