Bosphorus Strait
The Bosphorus, Ox-ford in English, runs for about twenty miles, at times like a river, at times as if a land-enclosed lake; then, before joining the Black Sea, it becomes a rocky, wild channel. The Bosphorus breathes calmly and regularly, and the flow of caiques echoes the rhythm with their slow splashes. Not only does the Bosphorus electrify the traveler by its light, but it also intoxicates him by the white incandescence of the sun on its bosom with blue sky pouring into it. It runs through the city of Istanbul, splitting it into two halves the city built on seven hills and described by one of her early foreign lovers, Julia Pardoe: Its clear calm sky, its glittering sea, its amphitheater of thickly-peopled hills, its geographical position, its political importance and above all, its surprising novelty, tend to make every day in that gorgeous scene, and under that sunny sky, a season of intense enjoyment.

Until the 17th century, the area where t the palace is today was one of the bays along the Bosphorus the legendary sailing vessel, ARGOS on which the Argonauts set off to find the Golden Fleece, anchored here.

A Scenic, Relaxing & Well-Organized Experience on the Bosphorus!

5.00We had a lovely time on this Bosphorus yacht cruise, a perfect way to enjoy Istanbul from the water, especially during the hot summer months. The pick-up and drop-off service was a huge plus; smooth, punctual, and incredibly convenient given the traffic in the city. It made the entire experience stress-free from start to finish. The yacht itself was very comfortable, with plenty of seating and great views from all angles. The onboard snacks and drinks were a nice touch and kept us refreshed throughout the journey. The commentary was informative and engaging, it added so much depth to the beautiful sights we were passing, from palaces and mosques to bridges and old Ottoman mansions. The stop on the Asian side was also a great addition and gave us a chance to see a different part of Istanbul. Just a note for future guests: the yogurt shop there isn’t included in the tour price, you’ll need to pay for it yourself. It would have been a thoughtful bonus if that was part of the package, but it certainly didn’t take away from the overall experience. Highly recommend this cruise to anyone looking to relax, learn, and see Istanbul from a stunning new perspective. Definitely worth it!

1.00Worst experience ever the boat came late. We were first in line. We boarded last definitely stay away from this tour ,is absolutely a scam. It was horrendous,. do not book this tour. It was an absolute shame.

5.00The cruise was fantastic. A wonderful slow trip up the Bosphorus with so much information about what we were passing and the significance of some of the sites. A lovely little stop on the Asian continent to taste real Turkish yoghurt before returning down the other side of the strait. A wonderful way to get a quick view of Istanbul. Could not recommend this enough.
