What To Expect
St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika)
You will visit the impressive Saint Stephen's Basilica built for the memory of the first Hungarian king (died in 1038). It has many statues and frescoes, as well as the mummified right hand of the first king. The church is open every day, except Sunday morning religious service.

You will see the dramatic monuments of the Nazi and Soviet occupations and dictatorships as well as the miraculous fountain (during the warm season).

5.00A fantastic day of learning about the history and culture of Budapest and Hungary from our brilliant guide Dahlia. She communicated so clearly her bast knowledge of the history and culture of Hungary. Our tour was paced so that we could spend as much or as little time as we wanted at each stop. 8 hours of walking and learning went by so quickly as we were learning so much at every turn. We took some lovely breaks to eat and rest. Suggestions were given as well as google directions for possible things to do for our next day in Budapest. Dahlia even made dinner reservations for us at a restaurant that she recommended. This tour was beyond what we could have hoped for in terms of learning and meeting a new friend!

5.00Bea is the ideal tour guide to show you around, highly informative, easygoing and such a pleasure to be with! She drew a vivid picture of Hungarian history, culture and people. The tour was rich, but not tiring as we used the public transportation to visit all the significant sites. We also took a brief break at an exceptional café across the Palmrliament. Highly recommended to travelers that have only a few days in Budapest and want to get the essence of the city!
