Széchenyi Bath, the largest thermal spring bath complex in Budapest and throughout Europe, is the height of European elegance.
Built in 1913 in a captivating Neo-baroque style, the spa has a rich history, evolving from private steam baths to a vast complex featuring 3 outdoor and 15 indoor pools.
But the experience doesn't end at the spa; it extends into the heart of Hungarian culture with tasting options inside the Hungarian Gastro Cellar. After your rejuvenating day at the spa, venture into the city center to savor the flavors of the “Hungarian spirit”. We believe that a nation can be truly known through its cuisine, discover Hungary's drinks with us: choose between 1cl of pálinka or 2x0.5dl of wine (one white - one rosé) complimentary tasting.

We have been running around Budapest to make the most of our 4 days here and planned ahead to relax on the last day. These hotspring baths did not disappoint. The tickets for full day entry and a cabin are a bit of an oversell. The cabin is a closet for changing and securing you dry clothes. We'll worth it, just don't the Ritz. The pools are just right, we tried many but settled on the outdoor pools as less crowded.

The bath was amazing! My wife and I stayed in the out door spa as the indoor ones were all full. This is the most popular and the largest thermal bath to is will be busy. However, the spa area outside was great, plenty of room and not too crowded. Would recommend this thermal bath if traveling to Budapest.

Under construction but still had a lovely morning. The adventure pool is so fun with the current pool. Definitely get a private change room.

Directions provided for an uber/taxi tot he dock were incorrect, leaving us with a 20min walk. We were on the 7:15p (19:15) cruise, which was perfect for the sunset and taking pictures. There was a hen party on board, thankfully a level below but still quite rowdy. The prosecco flowed, never letting our glass get below 1/2 full. Other than the bad directions on how to find the boat, it was an enjoyable experience.

Fabulous relaxing day, in beautiful surroundings. Good weather helped 😊 Refreshments reasonably priced, take your own towel and flip flops as they are expensive to buy there.
