Best cooking class in Korea! Starting with a very nice explanation of Korean sauces, we then made some very tasty seafood pancakes and a lovely stir-fried octopus. After some nice desert, we participated in a budhist tea ceremony and finally we visited the local market with the chef. Additionally chef HeeYoung was very understanding. We went there with 3 people and one of us has some difficulty with very fishy textures/tastes. Although she didn't cut the squid, she could very much do and enjoy the rest of the experience and easily eat around it. So we recommend it, even for people hesitating about whether they'd be comfortable with the food.

Our experience with Chef Heeyoung was so wonderful, and a highlight of our visit to Busan! She taught us about some of the fundamentals of Korean cooking as she guided us through making some classic dishes. She actually spent around a year learning from the renowned monk/chef Jeong Kwan, so we really enjoyed learning about the traditional ways of making Jang (the foundational fermented sauces). She also took us on a walk through the local traditional market, showing us where she gets her ingredients and explaining all of the unique foods, sauces and seasonings you can find and what they are used for. Can’t recommend her class enough to anyone interested in learning more about Korean food and cooking!

Our class was a lot of fun and very informative. Our instructor was great and the fact that there were only six of us made it a great class. The market was awesome.
