The highlight of our trip fantastic 2 days of watching the skilled ladies and gentlemen competitors undertaking barrel racing, bull riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc, bareback relay racing, break away roping, chuck wagon racing, kids holding on and trying to get on the shetland ponies backs and the stunt riders. The fun fair was vast, the eateries too numerous to mention.Shopping for cowboy gear to stands with lottery prizes to be won to agricultural tents, vehicles to buy . The live music at the coca cola stand and nashville tent brill.Pow wow dancers and the stampede band really good. Enjoyed the sky rides which allowed you great views of the venue. The Grandstand show awesome with live singers and dancers, acrobatics, fire performers, pole artist, motorcylce stunt team to the finale that firework display the best show we have ever seen mind blowing so much entertainment fantastic.

The Stampede was all we'd hoped for and more. Everyone was helpful and friendly; we had no problems finding where we needed to go. The Stampede itself was amazing; both day and evening shows were memorable.

It was abit hard to understand where to pick up the tickets at the Will Call Centre, but once we figured that out, it was amazing. The staff was able to direct us to where we needed to go any time we needed help. We did the 2 day thrill package for an afternoon event and the evening show both on the same day, but it would be more enjoyable doing the afternoon on 1 day, and the evening show on the next night. Having them on a seperate day would give you more chance to relax, and enjoy everything alot more. We were exhausted doing both on the same day. Thanks to Pam, ( a staff member who helped me make sure everything went just right for our family), we were able to honor our mom on her 1st b'day in heaven by going to the 1 place she always wish she could have gone to! ❤️. The fireworks were spectacular! Thank you Calgary Stapede for all you do.

We really wanted to see this and it did not disappoint, an awesome spectacle of bravery and horsemanship that was a thrill to watch, all the events where exhilarating, the highlight for me was the Bull riding in the afternoon and the Chuckwagons in the evening. If you book evening tickets make sure you hang around after for the Grandstand Show, this is a spectacular stage show and firework display that finishes the day off and is well worth the late finish.

This is the Calgary event of the year where everyone lets their hair down and becomes a cowboy/cowgirl for a day or two. Generally speaking the weather is excellent at this time of year, so staying hydrated is important. Don't miss the nightly fireworks display as it is absolutely stunning!

The Calgary Stampede is a world class party that has no equals. It starts with a massive parade and then you have 10 days of live rodeos, concerts galore, beer tents, an amusement park, events al over the city, free pancake breakfasts, trade shows and everybody in the city wearing jeans. A cross between a real pioneer frontier town, the glitz of Las Vegas and the whoopla of a New Orleans Mardi Gras, Munich Octoberfest or a Rio Carnaval all at the same time. Should be experienced.

Came on the family day and started with the free pancake breakfast and ended with the evening show and fireworks. The exhibits were terrific. We like the band competition that was happening at the same time. Spent time chilling listening to a small local group in a remote section of the Stampede grounds. The rodeo was great, the food was interesting, and the crowds manageable. We really liked the chuckwagon races! We packed everything we could into the one day we were at the Stampede. It did not disappoint!

There are so many great things to see and do at the Stampede. The rodeo is exciting. The midway rides and junk food are fun. The evening grandstand show is world class entertainment. The exhibits in the many buildings are interesting. I love to see the prize livestock, especially the workhorses in the barns. The Belgians are particularly lovely, powerful animals. The owners of the amazing animals are pleased to answer questions from the city slickers. The Stampede! Yahoooooo!

Best time of the year for rodeo people as the events at infield are well worth attending . My favorites are the bull riding and the chuckwagons. The midway is fun and colorful at night. The whole city shuts down for the duration of the stampede. No one goes to work, bars are full and breakfast is free. What's not to like
