On this tour, you will put aside your worries, you will relax and enjoy the immensity of the very humid tropical forest of Costa Rica.

Some important aspects to take into account:

Canoes are small boats. Maximum 8 people per canoe (typical canoe with paddles). It is worth mentioning that it is not necessary to row if you wish, the guide will do it.

We offer 3 different schedules to make the tour, however, we recommend doing the 6:00 am, since at this time the animals are more active and the temperature is the best.

If you carry your camera, do not forget to take something to protect it against water, since the weather conditions are quite unpredictable and it can rain at any time.

Tortuguero National Park

During the Canoe Tour, you will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Tortuguero wetland. In addition, we will have the opportunity to observe the representative fauna of the area as they are: alligators, many birds, basilisks, monkeys, sloths, among other species. The biodiversity in this type of forest is very abundant, however, we know that animals are in their natural habitat and we depend totally on what nature allows us to appreciate. The guide will take a tour of the channels, sharing information and showing the secrets that are hidden in it.

We had the pleasure of being guided through the beautiful national park by our guide Jairo, seeing cool animals and getting to know the history of the park. A perfect way to start the day. Jairo is an impressive guide and he made us feel so welcome in Tortuguero from the first second we met him at the Pavona harbour. Thanks for your fantastic story telling about everything we saw and your obvious caring for the nature - Tortuguero is luckily to have you! All recommendations from us!

Really, really nice :) Excellent guide and we saw almost every animal there is to see. Caymans, birds, sloths etc. really worth the trip. Also learned some stuff from the past :)

I highly recommend the canoe tour with Jairo. It is probably the closest you will get to many animals (compared to walking through the jungle) and Jairo is the best guide we could have wished for. He has a huge knowledge of all the flora & fauna and also knows how to break it down in a way that you will remember what you learned + he is very kind and funny. Get yourself on those boats!!

It was an incredible and amazing experience in direct contact with nature at its best, where we could delve into small mangroves and canals and appreciate different kinds of flora and fauna. Andy, our guide, was very friendly and attentive throughout, answering all our doubts and giving us very good explanations. It really was a highly recommended experience. The treatment of all the people from the agency was very warm. Thanks to Andy, Ericka, Luis and Jorge for their Service.

Tour 100% recommended. A great privilege to enjoy Tortuguero National Park with guides Jairo, Andy and Gabriel for their knowledge of the biology of the place and, above all, for their passion for nature. We were able to observe from the kayak a lot of fauna: spider monkey, howler monkey, capuchin monkey, alligators, yellow-headed martinet, tepesquimple, emerald basilisk, green iguana, boatbill heron, blue heron, aninga, jacana, gatusa... An experience not to be missed when visiting Tortuguero

A tour full of deep insights into Costa Rica's jungle world. We have seen many animals and plants. Our tour guide Andy just knew everything and also took us to remote little channels where it was just us and the jungle. A great adventure! We highly recommend it!

In the nicest rainy weather we were taken by our guide Andy, into the beauty of the Amazon of Tortuguero. Andy was well prepared and equipped us with vest and rain poncho. We have seen Romantic places and also seen some animals. Andy could tell us a lot about it. We decided to go canoeing, so you sit closer together and get more information. PURA VIDA this tour is recommended.

Best canoe tour ever! What an experience…. We managed to see a wide range of wildlife (monkeys, caimans, turtles, iguanas, birds etc), all thanks to Luis, our excellent guide. 10/10
Scammer tour operators hide instruction to reach the island

They are a scam tour. First they don't tell you how to reach the residential/islandic area in Tortuguero. We drove almost an hour into this bad road with water logging and had to turn back since couldn't go further. Asking someone living in that road, they said you have to go back and take a boat. Nobody tells you this, as talking to someone on the boat who does similar tours, sneaked in the fact that they do this on purpose. The tour guide was also not responsive on Whatsapp. We were a no show for this reason and hence lost our money too. Be careful!
