Visit one of the most beautiful islands on the North Coast. Paradise Island will welcome you with turquoise water, white sand and colorful reef. Visit the Monte Cristi National Park where you can explore the mangrove jungle and see local wild life.
After being collected from your hotel in Puerto Plata, Sosua or Cabarete, make your way to Punta Rucia and enjoy the amazing views of the lovely Dominican landscapes.
Here, climb aboard a speedboat that will take you to Cayo Arena ( the local name of Paradise Island ) Upon arrival on the island, you will be welcomed by turquoise waters and white sand. Go ashore to sunbathe and explore or take a guided snorkeling tour during which you will see a variety of tropical fish and coral. Enjoy a selection of fresh fruits and drinks which will be served on the island.
Before lunch, take a speedboat ride through the mangroves.
On the way back we make a stop at a local market.

5.00Very nice activity, as described. The trip is a bit long but if you are a snorkeler, it is definitely worth it. We stayed 2 hours on the island, we saw a lot of fish. Then we visit the mangroves. A lot of fun! On the way back, we stop at a cigar and jewelry manufacturer who explains his work. No pressure to make purchases. People are friendly. The guide gives us information about the Republic in 4 languages. Very appreciated! A buffet is served upon return. Delicious! I liked everything about this outing!

4.00cayó arena was an amazing experience , one of a kind, beautiful small island 10 minutes from shore in a speed boat . everything was good except the boat driver he seemed to have an attitude , looked like he didn’t want to be there , the other 2 guys were helpful and informative

4.00We really enjoyed it. The bus A/C didn’t seem to work well so it was a little hot in the bus. Also not very comfortable. But the overall we really enjoyed it. The island is beautiful. It was really cool to go through the mangroves. The buffet lunch was actually pretty good. We also stopped at a cigar farm. If you don’t smoke cigars then this might n out be something you enjoy (that specific shop). But again, overall we liked it. And we had a great time. Wish we could spend more time on the island and maybe a little longer time going through the mangroves. Also maybe giving us time to hang out in the other beach would be cool.

5.00From the start we knew it was going be great! Our driver Carlos who is also our Puerto Plata guide during our stay made sure our experience was memorable in this beautiful location of Cayo Arena. He dropped us off, the guides on site who will be joining you give you best then you get on a small boat to Cayo Arena. A 20min water trip. Our guide stopped and showed us a natural pool in the ocean who was very cool. Once arriving at Cayo Arena you are embraced by clear turquoise water on clean sands. A breathtaking experience and view. When you return, a feat of rice beans, a selection of chicken or fish with salad. Don’t forget the Presidente. 2.00Not worth the money. Very long bus ride, stopped at a souvenir shop on the way back after being at one twice already The island is extremely small and soooo many people, herded like cattle Food for lunch was worse than our resort buffet

4.00This was a great excursion!! The ONLY negative i would give is that it is a longgg bumpy bus ride so if you get car sick BE CAUTIOUS. Other than that it was amazing and the lunch they provide is delicious!
