What To Expect
Visit and have a walk on your own to take pictures to the Central park , Cathedral and La glorieta of Puerto Plata. It is one of the places of greatest attraction and greatest projection in Puerto Plata. It is considered one of the most precious symbols of the "Silver City." It was one of the gifts to his people from General Luperón during the government he headed in 1879.

5.00This was an outstanding way to see highlights of the city at our own pace. Our guide and driver were excellent! They had knowledge of the area and we felt very safe at all times. They also helped us avoid typical “tourist trap” locations and choose more authentic shops and experiences. We never felt rushed and never felt nervous about making it back to our ship on time. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. Not a criticism, but a note for others coming into Amber Cove cruise port, you have to walk pretty far (1/2 mile +) out the gates of the port and then down the road a bit, fending off taxi drivers the whole time, but this experience is totally worth it!!

5.00We really liked it. Mr. Edgar, owner of the company, guided us where we wanted to visit and the time to buy was sufficient. I recommend it to people who don’t want to meet Puerto Plata on a bus with 30 or more boat strangers.

5.00Gerson, our guide and Nelson, our driver were excellent. We needed quite a few accommodations and a they tailored the tour to exactly what we needed. They took great care of us and were very knowledgeable. We greatly enjoyed the visit to the fort and the chocolate factory. The lunch spot with the great view was a treat!

5.00We had an amazing time, Rum Factory Tour & Chocolate Factory (fav) where both very educational..not drinkers so we passed on all samples of rum but the history is very interesting!! Great pic opportunities! Umbrella street is beautiful! Worth the money as it’s a true private & professional tour ..Wear good shoes, lots of walking involved. Would recommend sunscreen. Sunglasses for sure!!

5.00Your group will be the only ones on the tour. Such a wonderful change from the crowded buses of the ship’s shore excursions. Jose was such a personable guide. Great history and excellent variety of sites. We visited a rum factory, a jewelry factory, watched cigars being rolled, visited the “Pink” street, Central Park, had a wonderful view of the entire city, and finished with a visit of the fortress before returning to the ship. Thank you, Jose!
