What To Expect
Hoi An Ancient Town
OPTION 1 - We drive Southward to beautiful Lap An Lagoon and Fishing Village for quick stop of Picture Moments before driving through the most beautiful scenic road of Vietnam to Hai Van Pass to get to Da Nang city - the 4th largest city of Viet Nam. Arrive at Hoi An Ancient Town, you can have your own walking tour of Hoi An Market, Phuc Kien assembly hall, Chaozou assembly hall and Tan Ky ancient house, crossing the picturesque Japanese Covered Bridge, LANTERN Workshop to see how the artisans make a lantern and you can buy some for souvenirs. After exploring amazing Hoi An Old City, we depart back to the Chan May Cruise Ship Port. Our local driver will drop you there and we finish our fantastic Chan May Shore Excursions to Hoi An around 1 hour before Ship Departure.
Hue Imperial City (The Citadel)
OPTION 2 - We will drive 1 hour 30 minutes to Hue and visit the Former Capital of Vietnam under 13 Emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty to learn about History and Culture of Vietnamese Royalty with: 1. Hue Imperial Citadel: constructed from 1804-1833 by 2 first Kings of the Nguyen Dynasty (Gia Long & Minh Mang) and was the centre for Economy, Culture and Political Activities of Royal Family. 2. Thien Mu Pagoda: This is the oldest and most famous pagoda in Hue built from 1601 by the Founder of the Nguyen Family in this region. Pagoda was built and named so (Heavenly Lady Buddha Pagoda) after the story of local people when they dream about lady Buddha sitting on this hill. 3. Royal Tomb: You can choose one of three most popular tombs with Minh Mang Tomb (built in 1841-1843), Tu Duc Tomb (built in 1864-1867), Khai dinh Tomb (built 1920-1931) before our driver drop you back to Chan May Cruise Ship Port and we will finish Excursions to Hue City around 1 hour before ship departure.

Duration: 7 hours: trip includes 4 hours for 2 ways transfer with sightseeing stops on the way. Rest of the time you can spend in Hoi An.

Entry Fees to Places:: Entrance Fee to Hoi An Ancient City (120k/person) to visit some Chinese Assembly Halls, Japanese Covered Bridge, Old Houses.
Option 3 - Ba Na Hills 8 Hours
Duration: 8 hours: Trip includes 3 hours for 2 ways transfer and sightseeing stops on the way. You need 3 to 5 hours in Ba Na Hills Theme Park.
Pick-up/Drop-off Location: Prices of the excursions are for pick-up/Drop-off at the Border Check (500m walking from Exit Gate of the Chan May Port).
Private Car with Driver: Sightseeing Stops on the route in Lap An Lagoon, Hai Van Pass, Ba Na Hills Theme Park with Cable Car & Golden Hand Bridge.
Entry Fee to Ba Na Hills: You need to pay Entry Fee to Ba Na Hills (from 950K/Person), that will include cable car riding and fees for some activities.

Duration: 7 hours: We recommend 2 hours in Hue Imperial City, 30 minutes in Thien Mu Pagoda and 40 minutes in any royal tomb you visit.

5.00David was an amazing driver. He communicated so well from before pickup to the various stops en route. He was professional, enthusiastic and happy to oblige with any stops. We had a really lovely day with stops at the Lagoon, Marble mountain, Hai Van Gate and finishing with stop at Hoi An old town. Had a lovely Banh Mi and wandered around the old town. I would absolutely recommend a trip with David

5.00Wonderful. Guide Li and driver Kai showed us the best of Hue dodging showers and traffic with a smile. We greatly appreciated the flexibility of adjusting the agenda to our wishes and had a great day. We especially liked the common food lunch option instead of a tourist joint! Li was absolutely amazing teaching us how to wrap our own banh khodi and then rolling incense. Just a perfect day and we thank you all for the amazing short notice and communication for the whole adventure. You saved our visit to Vietnam

5.00We had a great driver by the name of Banh Lee, who was accommodating and helpful. He drove us along scenic views, stopped at the lagoon for a photo op, including a Vietnamese coffee treat with oyster spring rolls, followed by a drive to Danang and lunch with shopping at Hoi An Market. We also stopped to see the Dragon Bridge and Han River, despite the rain. It was a short, but a memorable time exploring Danang and Hoi An because of Bahn, who made the short excursion comfortable. Thank you, Banh!🙏

5.00Excellent 4 hours of the Citadel and tomb of Tu Duc’s tomb. Guide Linh was excellent and we especially appreciated her helping us find delicious local food, very inexpensive and delicious. It was helpful having someone show us how to eat the local dishes. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and can adjust her tours based on your preferences.

5.00Our driver Ly arrived on time in an upscale vehicle with great AC which was most appreciated. The day was well planned and the conversation was fantastic, learning a great deal about Vietnam. He allowed us to set the pace for the day and recommended an excellent restaurant for us, which was one of the highlights of the day. We did option 2 and it was a fascinating day trip off of our cruise. Bring cash for the admissions as that is not included, but very affordable. Lots of steps on our tour of Citadel, tomb, and pagoda so be prepared for some walking on that one. Excellent for us and our 7 year old grandson.

5.00Our guide/driver was Hien. We disembarked around 45 min earlier than the agreed pickup time and connected with him. Less than 15 minutes later he arrived at the port. He sent us his picture and live location using WhatsApp. We quickly found him, and our tour started earlier. He was extremely helpful and friendly. He safely took us to Sun World Ba Na Hills. During our journey he talked about Vietnam recent history, local aspects of Da Nang, and other curiosities. He literally took us to as far as one can go without entry tickets to the amusement park. Sun World is really beautiful with lots of things to see and do. Plenty of choices of restaurants. Unfortunately the weather could be better since it was very foggy and raining from time to time. We met Hien again at Sun World entrance, and he drove us back safely to Chan May Port. Thank you Hien. See you soon!
