Do you want to visit Rome in the way local native people do, having a private 9 hrs tour (including driving back and forth) in the comfort of a Mercedes brand new van, picking you up in front of the ship and dropping you off there as well, on time (we never missed 1 ship in 27 years in this business). You will have a wonderful 9 hours guided tour of Rome, driven by your English speaking driver, Rome native, who will inform you about all the most important historical info of each site, giving you tips as well from the vehicle and once he stops, you will visit the sites on your own. Personally prepurchasing the entrance tickets on Viator site, in case you want to visit them inside, for the Colosseum, for a 09.45 / 10 am entrance and the Vatican Museum tickets for 01.30 or 02.00 pm , you will be able to enter them avoiding line (Just lining for security controls), visiting in addition all the other Rome highlights.

3.00The guide from Shore excursions Italy was great. He tried to get us tickets for inside the Colloseum and Vatican, but was unable to. The reason for this was the confusion with my initial phone conversation with Viator, as I asked if they could book both of these skip the line tours. The agent gave me the price and a reserved time for both. He said that with my reserved times I just needed to inform our driver and he would take care of ticketing. The driver said he is not responsible but would try. Communicating with Viator was difficult. The rating for the driver would be 5. Viator would be 1. When I first talked with Viror and told them what I wanted for the Rome tour, I believed the price included the tickets.

He adjusted to our needs and planned with us the trip. He would tell us amazing facts about the places and he truly liked to guide people around the city. Would recommend him 100%.

5.00This private tour was everything I had hoped for! Riccardo met us at the boat with a sign with our names. We rode in luxury in a new Mercedes van. He got us to every destination on time and made sure that we were in the right line and had ample time to sightsee. We had a short time to see all of Rome and we did everything. It was absolutely amazing and worth every penny! I highly recommend this tour and this company!

5.00Excellent private tour. The driver was nice and very accomodating to our requests. We had an excellent day! The drive is rough. Very tight and winding. The driver was excellent. It might have been nice to have more opportunity to see the beautiful views and take photos, but so hard to stop along the way. Boat tour may be a better option.

5.00My sister and I took a 9 hour private tour from Civitavecchia to Rome and Riccardo make it perfect. Is nice to hear from him the history of Rome and every place. It was worth the price, we get to saw so much of important landmarks of Rome, we even went to Vatican Museums (tickets bought separately). We even squished a little shopping. Riccardo recommended some places to eat and the place we select was incredible (I wish I remember the name). The van is beautiful and comfortable and just for your party. This was truly the best tour.

5.00Riccardo took us from the port at Civitavecchia to Rome for a day. We’re had my one year old granddaughter as part of our group. He took around Rome, made sure we saw all the key sites, and gave a non-stop narrative of the history of the places we visited. And got us back to the ship in plenty of time. He was an outstanding guide.

5.00Our family of 5 enjoyed an amazing tour of Rome, hitting all of the top sites — the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Vatican museums, and the Trevi Fountain. It was a whirlwind tour but we wanted to see as much as we could in the one day we were in port from the cruise. It was about a one hour drive from the cruise port to Rome but well worth it see the capital city of Italy.

5.00Have done abt 12 or so shore excursions on this trip Our trip into Rome from ship was superb We were collected right out the front of the ship on time with a spotless clean driver and Merc Van Special mention to Ricardo who spoke perfect English was very knowledgable and delivered close to every attraction guided we here needed helped with tickets etc Could not hv asked for a better day Also a huge Thankyou tk Monica from Shore Excursions who was so helpful understanding efficient and she made the booking details so easy Thankyou so much
