Punta Tombo
We will visit the largest reserve of Magellan Penguins in South America. Once at destination, an entrance fee must be paid, where we also find an interesting Interpretation Center, dedicated to the different stages of the Penguin life cycle and its natural environment. At this point the most exciting part of the route begins, being able to walk among penguins, along a 1,5-kilometer path that begins in the Patagonian steppe field until you reach the coast area where the penguins arrive from the sea to the continent to recondition its nests every year and fulfill its cycle of breeding and breeding of its pigeons. You can see the vastness of the colony, full of nests everywhere. It is a unique experience in the world that few are lucky to live. It is worth mentioning that the penguins cohabit quietly with small rodents, the cuisines, and receive the sporadic visit of guanacos and choiques. Once the tour of the reservation is finished, we begin the return to the city.

This was great. We were fortunate that the weather was great, the many, many penguins were out and about. We also saw many guanaco, Rhea and flamingos. Our guide and driver were great. The lunch was good and we even had a short drive through town as we made good time returning. Highly recommend

This is a fantastic trip if you want to see penguins! We also saw wild llamas roaming around with the penguins. We had a great day - time at the reserve flew by due to all there is to see. Highly recommend this tour.

This fantastic tour should not be missed . What an experience !!! A most amenable guide with so much knowledge and great English made the trip truly memorable. We were up close to the penguins with plenty if time to observe them in their natural environment .

Although the distance is a bit far, I saw many penguins and baby penguins! It's a pity that there is no extra time to visit the city

Be prepared to walk along a boardwalk to see the penguins. Bus ride is long but our guide shared a lot of the area’s history. Box lunch was fare but filling.

Our guide Mariana was fantastic. She was very patient in explaining the area to us and keeping us informed of what is to happen. But the bus they used is not comfortable at all. The 6 hour total bus ride that includes an hour of rough gravel road just gave us lower back pains and the need to stand up to ease the pain at our bottoms. Plus the provided packed lunch definitely can use some improvement.

Tour was as described. It is a long ride but our guide did a great job sharing interesting information along the way. We saw a lot of penguins, walking right along with them by their homes.

Many beautiful penguins in their natural environment. Also, a brief history lesson of the local area.
