We booked this Dunedin shore excursion independently from our cruise and had an excellent experience with our host, Ross. The tour was very manageable physically – we did around 7,000 steps with plenty of breaks, good pacing, and great company. Ross contacted us the day before to confirm our dietary requirements and suggest what to wear based on the weather, which we really appreciated. During the tour we stopped at several local spots including Wild, No8 Distillery, and Albar. Many of the venues and products have won awards – we even tasted a world’s best gin, an award-winning pie, delicious fish, and a traditional Scottish delicacy. In total there were around six tasting stops, all of which were fantastic and very insightful. The tour ran from about 9:30 for roughly three hours, leaving us with plenty of time afterward for some extra sightseeing before heading back to the ship. Highly recommended for food and drink lovers looking for a relaxed and well-organised experience in Dunedin.

Great tour with good food and an even better host. We tasted some sausage from the butcher shop, cheese bread and tea from a cafe, sampled some special distilled GIN, had some freshly caught fish and chips, whiskey, and Gelato…..I even sampled some haggis. Thank you Tracy for the wonderful time.

Thank you Tracy for the excellent, memorable, walking food tour. I was able to buy some sausage from the butchers, some uniquely processed Gin from some very special people, morning fresh caught fish and chips, sampled some whiskey, and I even got to try some haggis. Tracy was a great tour guide and will recommend her services. THANKS AGAIN TRACY✌🏿

Fabulous walking tour of Dunedin, visiting lovely artisan butchers, herbalists, coffee shops, gin dostellery, Ironic restaurant and a whisky & haggis tasting. Tracy was really friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The tour was operated at a leisurely pace and I would recommend making this part of your stay in Dunedin.

This was a brilliant food tour. It was only the two of us and we were totally spoilt. We had delicious pies and sausages from a local butcher who was so much fun. The gin tasting was just delicious and we loved the fish and chips. We were told there wasn't much in Dunedin but really wanted to go as family had been at the varsity but we loved it.
