The Try Scuba or Try Scuba Diving program is the introduction to the underwater world, in confined or open water, without having to commit to a more extensive certification program.

At this diving school in Sesimbra, there is the eco-dive experience, offering the opportunity to help and preserve the seabed and qualify to receive a "Mission Deep Blue" certificate, as we are in the Arrábida region and the Luíz Saldanha Marine reserve, with more than 1500 different species.

At Anthia Diving Center, we never neglect safety, therefore we promote the continuous training of our instructors and diving professionals.

We want everyone to have an unforgettable day and to feel happy to participate in a different and unique experience.

What To Expect

The Try Scuba or Try Scuba Diving (scuba diving baptism) program is your introduction to the underwater world. At this diving School in Sesimbra, exists the specialisation in eco-diving experience, giving you the oportunity to help cleaning up the bottom of the sea. At the end you will receive a certificate of "Mission Deep Blue". This initial level program gives you the opportunity to know the underwater world, whether in confined waters or in open water, without having to commit to a more extensive certification program. At Anthia Diving Center, we never overlook safety so we place an instructor for every 2 people in the water. We want everyone to have an unforgettable day and feel happy to participate in a different and unique experience.

Booked a try dive for my 2 children, 12 and 15 years old, both novices. From the outset the team at the dive center were brilliant at finding the right balance between professional and safe, and having fun. The kids got a thorough briefing before heading to the dive boat. We then went out to a sheltered cove for the try dive which was perfectly calm. Both kids were helped into their dive gear and checked over to make sure everything was comfortable and fitted correctly. They had an amazing time u see water for nearly 40 mins, saw lots of fish, cuttlefish, octopus, both very excited when they exited the sea. Couldn’t recommend these guys highly enough. They were brilliant, would definitely be coming back!
