We are Thai couple growing up from different regions of Thailand and have been cooking for long time. We learned how to cook from our parents such as go to the market to pick up fresh ingredients, using spices & herbs then many tricks & basic cooking skills. When we married, we still cook and share our own food with each other all the time until now. In addition, we sometimes cook food for offering the monk as well.
Our class offers you just 8 people per maximum (vegan or vegetarian are very welcome), all recipes are created from our many years of cooking experiences and some are mixed between the 2 cultures too.
If you don't know what is your souvenir from Thailand, cooking could be your choice!

What To Expect
Summer March - June Rainy July - October Winter November - February Market tour (approx 15-20 minutes) - Everyone choose the menus before class starts - Pick up all produces using for each selected - Show you about Thai veggies, spices and herbs - Walk around, take photo or buy some spice back home At cooking school (approx 4.30 hours) We don't have any Aircon in the kitchen and eating room just only fans!! - Class will be started from stir fried - Soup & Appetizer - Dessert & Curry (we will make curry paste from scratch) Here the menu that you can choose! 1. Stir fried - Pad Thai - Fried Drunken noodles - Pad See Ew - Fried cashew nut 2. Appetizer - Papaya Salad - Fresh spring rolls - Fried spring rolls - Mixed fruits salad 3. Soup - Hot & Sour Prawns thick soup - Coconut chicken - Tom Yum Chicken - Hot & Sour prawns clear soup 4. Curry + Curry paste - Khao Soi (Chiangmai noodles) - Green curry - Massaman curry - Red curry 5. 5.00We had such a great experience at Aromdii! Aek and his wife are fantastic hosts, and we learned a lot about Thai cuisine and food culture. The dishes were delicious—some of the best we’ve had on our trip so far. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller, more personalized cooking class experience in Chiang Mai!

5.00Class experience. He explained everything very well. We all got to cook 5 meals of our choosing from a list (you don't all have to cook the same things, they can be different) and got to eat all the food after. It was with a small group.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the hands-on experience made it even more enjoyable. Thank you for this wonderful experience. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting a genuine taste of Thailand.

5.00The host was simply amazing, rellly kind caring and knowledgeable. We were brought into his family home and taught great ways of Thai cooking. 10/10 if you need to do anything in Chang Mai it’s this class, could not recommend enough.

5.00We spent a lovely 4 hours cooking with AEK. It was informative and delicious!!! So much food! Amazing too that each person can choose their own menu, so several different dishes are being cooked by participants simultaneously. Aek, did a great job explaining each step. He communicates very clearly and the cooking experience was truly step by step. I highly recommend this cooking class! But do not eat breakfast / lunch before you go, you will need space for all the delicious food you cook!

5.00The cooking class was a great way to get an insight into Thai cuisine. At first we went to the local market where we bought the ingredients for our dishes. In addition, typical Thai spices and specialties were shown and explained to us at the market. Afterwards, we would go to the kitchen, which is near the old town. We were previously allowed to choose 5 different dishes, which we then cooked. If there are two, I would recommend that both cook different dishes so that you can try more. Overall, everything was very well prepared and the recipes were explained very well so you can recook them well at home. A very big praise and thank you for the great experience to Nok and Aek.

5.00We had an amazing time learning all about Thai ingredients and then how to make delicious dishes! I highly recommend this cooking class. I am vegetarian and had no trouble making vegetarian dishes. My husband is a meat eater and was able to make meat dishes with no issues. This class will work for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike! They pick you up at your hotel and take you to to the market to pick us the ingredients for your dishes. The owner will explain about all of he different ingredients in Thai cuisine and we learned a lot About the food we had been eating since we arrived in Thailand! We had a great time with everyone in our class During our evening cooking class. You will not be sorry if you choose this class!

5.00My husband and I had a great time at the Aromdii cooking school. It was very educational to first stop at the market and pick out the ingredients in person with a local. It was great seeing the ingredients transform with the proper instruction from our host. Everything we made was delicious—better than a restaurant! We left with very full hearts and bellies.
