This full-day private trip from Chania takes you deep into South Rethymno, far from the crowds. Start your journey with Spili, a peaceful village nestled in the foothills of Mount Kedros. Sip a mountain herb tea or coffee by the Venetian lion-head fountains, stroll through cobbled streets, and discover local crafts and products like handmade soaps, herbs, and textiles.
Next, head to Kourtaliotiko Gorge, where you’ll walk among wind-carved cliffs and hear the story of the “clapping rocks.” Keep your camera ready—this place is raw, wild beauty.
Then it’s time to relax at Kalypso Beach, a hidden gem near Plakias, with dramatic cliffs, crystal waters, and excellent snorkeling spots. Whether you prefer sunbathing on a rock terrace or exploring the underwater world, this is a perfect spot to unwind.
Round off the day with a Cretan meal in a taverna that only locals know—homemade, fresh, and full of heart.

Amazing guide, she was the BEST!! Great conservation and very informative. We had a blast. The gorge was beautiful, cold but worth the short swim. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Our lunch spot but the lion heads was wonderful. Highly recommend!!!!

From first contact, Angie was communicative and friendly. Mt husband and I got picked up by her in a beautiful, comfortable van and immediately felt welcomed and special. She proceeded to tell us our options on places to visit, with no pressure. She is a very good driver and we felt very safe. The tour was fabulous, and anyone could have driven us around, but Angie made the whole trip relaxing, informative, easy to be with the whole day. HIGHLY recommend her company!

We truly enjoyed our excursion with Angie to Kourtaliotiko Gorge and Kalypso Beach. The scenery was breathtaking, and we even had the chance to stop at an olive farm for olive oil and honey tasting, which was such a special experience. Angie was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to spend the day with. We loved every moment and would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Crete!

This was literally the best tour of our trip! Angie customized everything...certain areas we stayed longer, some shorter. She knew so much about Crete, and we got way more than we would have out of a big group booking. Honestly...if you are on the fence about booking-do it!! Worth every penny. Also, the locations we went to were fabulous! One of our favourite days of our entire 2 week trip!

We had the most incredible time with Angie! She is so fun to be around, incredibly knowledgeable about the island, and is a great driver. We went to several great locations. She had water, towels, and a waterproof phone case for us. I would highly recommend Angie’s tour; it was a blast!

Book this tour with Angie! From the Gorge to the beach to the town, Angie provided us with the best experience all throughout the south of Crete. She was very easy to communicate with and set a meeting point. Angie is a local and knows everyone, so you won't have to wait for much! The beach and gorge were amazing water experiences while the town was an old charm. The lunch spot she took us too was probably the best food I had in Crete, maybe Greece. Angie was a great storyteller about the history of Crete and Greece, and kept us entertained the whole tour. I would book this sooner rather than later, as she usually is booked up weeks/months in advance!

Amazing experience! Angie is very well educated and told us all about Crete. The excursions she took us in were great, and she was very flexible with our schedule. Me and my company had a fantastic time, and would definitely do it again!

Traveled with my husband and 2 daughters (age 22 and 14). The planned out day was one of the most memorable experiences of visiting Crete. This experience had a well thought out itinerary and we got to really enjoy ourselves at each destination. Having Angie was like traveling with a close friend! It happened to be her birthday and we were fortunate to spend it with her! Hope to be back one day!

Angie was an excellent guide and share so many fun facts about Chania during our ride. She was so entertaining and taught us so much about Greek culture! Took us to a perfect lunch place after spending time at the beautiful gorge and beach. The risotto, sardines & salad are a must try. Forgot the restaurant name but have to get Angie when @ Chania 😊
