This is a great trip to see authentic life in Crete. Our guide Niko was wonderful. He knew so much about the history, people and culture of Crete and I loved that he showed us naturally growing food plants, herbs and fruits. I highly recommend this tour. And lunch was delicious!

Very early in the tour, one of our party became very unwell and we suspected may need to go to hospital (it ended up being a serious case of food poisoning). They ordered us a taxi which was appreciated although we paid for it (as we were expecting to do). However, when it came to paying, there was absolutely no flexibility on the price despite the fact that we only attended the first stop. In addition to this, we were last minute guests and so took spots that were not in demand. We understand that they should not waive the fee completely, but a price reduction would have been nice given that we did not consume any food or drink after the first stop.

This is not a walking tour. We got out of the van several times however walked less than 1.5 miles. Stopped for coffee, bakery, cheese making (not much of a demonstration) and lunch (all excellent). Guide and other passengers were very pleasant.

This was a great way to see the countryside. Tania was a very nice host and super accommodating. It was wonderful way to try many new Greek dishes and see Greek culture.

This tour is amazing. Our local driver and tour guide Babis was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Babis knew alot about the ancient of the Cretens and took us to over 8 villages some were hidden. We went to 2 local restaurants, a bakery and a cheese factory. All were great. We had a lovely lunch Greek style before returning to our ship. I highly recommend this tour. Has been the best yet!

Great way to spend a few hours away from the regular touristy traps. Our group was small, 9 people and our driver Nikos was able to personally interact with everyone! We came in on a cruise ship, and although the port was not on the selected pickup spots, with a simple email we were able to get picked up in front of a grocery store directly across the street from the port exit. At each stop Nikos pointed out different plants and herbs in the wild that would be used in some of the food we ate along the way. Taking us for coffee, stopping at a family run cheese shop and bakery, and a local lunch all in more remote spots not as easily accessible without a personal driver made for quite a unique experience versus the standard cruise ship excursion.
