What To Expect
Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine This mysterious shrine has become a hot topic on social media for its scenery that resembles an "entrance to another world." Along the approach to the main shrine (haiden), there are 97 stone lanterns lined up, and the sight of the sunlight shining into the mossy green world is truly fantastical.
Amano Iwato Shrine
Amano Iwato Shrine Amano Iwato Shrine, famous for the tradition of stacking stones to make wishes at Amano Yasugawara, is located in Takachiho Town, Nishiusuki District, Miyazaki Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to the sacred Amano Iwato, believed to be inhabited by divine spirits. It is renowned as a spiritual site known for its great healing powers and its ability to bring good fortune. Visitors seeking divine protection through sacred seals and amulets flock to the shrine in an unending stream. Amano Yasugawara Cave It is said that stacking stones and making a wish here will lead to the fulfillment of that wish. As a result, many visitors have built numerous stone towers as part of their prayers.

5.00This tour offered a wonderful experience with the chance to see some beautiful parts of Kyushu away from the ctyscape. The event was very well organised in all aspects, and ran smoothly - and to time - from start to finish. We visited some gorgeous locations and were fortunate that the sun shone all day! The tour was brought alive by our fabulous, energetic and enthusiastic guide, Jyo, who I can't praise highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she switched effortlessly between languages to keep everyone informed of the tinerary and about the places we visited. Jyo helped to make this tour a real highlight of my visit to Fukuoka. Thank you, Jyo!

5.00I had originally booked another tour, and for whaever reason they cancelled on us last minute!! I was so lucky to get this tour bus, I cannot say enough positive words, and would do it again in a heartbeat! First - the sites were beautiful - shrines, nature, takahicho gorge. I had Emily as our tour guide, then, she arranged for me to have Zhuzhu as we had to get back to catch a shinkansen. She was also great! Fluent in 3 languages; Both guides made the tour fun and immensely enjoyable. They had recommendations for everything - including even the restaurants! They also went out of their way for the guests (the bus driver on Zhuzhu's bus the day we did our tour, was incredible (I had left something on the bus and he went out of his way to get it back to us).

5.00It is a very good tour, very complete, the guide Helen was very friendly and spoke in perfect English. The places visited are also beautiful and well kept. In addition, thanks to Helen’s experience we could see the volcano even though it initially seemed that it would not be possible. I think it is a must when visiting Fukuoka or Kyushu Island in general

5.00It was amazing very beautiful scenery. You could make it to the top of the mountain of the first shrine if you don't take the stairs but the path that runs beside it.

1.00Buyer beware - Don't think if you book this trip you will be going on the tour! As a solo traveller I booked this trip 12 days in advance of my trip to Fukuoka and was very excited about going on the boat on the gorge with lunch option. I paid the premium price for the more expensive trip. The evening before my trip (4-5pm) the company Gogoday Travel Service contacted me to inform me that there was no longer a place for me on the trip, even though it was confirmed, and they were either downgrading my trip for a partial refund to no boat/ lunch, or cancelling it altogether. I had no option either to change to another day as my only other day was booked up. When asking why they explained that they book the boat trip 14 days in advance, and that it had booked up. They had just not informed me of this until literally they evening before, though they had the information. So I had no option to book a different tour with another company, or to rearrange my schedule. No explanation was given, and I had to do the reduced tour or not go at all. I had the feeling that my place was given to someone else, and I was simply removed from the trip, perhaps because I am a solo traveller. I found this lack of organisation unbelievable, especially as I was very much looking forward to the tour. I will likely never be in Fukuoka agsin as it's very remote place for me to travel to. This was a very big disappointment and extremely unprofessional.

4.00This tour was fantastic! Our guide, Emily was very professional as she spoke in both Chinese and English. Not only did she explain the usual guide narrative but she dove deeper into the history and some fun facts too. The lunch was delicious and quite fancy. Unexpected for a reasonably priced tour. The 30 min boat experience was perfect. Arrive early to the tour because that determines if you will have to split up as boats accommodates 3 people. It was nice that others didn't mind splitting up so my husband and I could ride the boat together. Be prepared for a long journey...it's approximately 3 hours each way but so worth the fun trip.
