Park and National Palace of Pena
Guided visit to the Pena Palace and grounds (select ticket option ). The Pena Palace is one of the best representations of 19th century Romanticism in Europe. Being the second-highest point in the Serra de Sintra (over 500m above sea level), it will amaze you with its unique architecture and spectacular views. King Ferdinand II - the king-artist - fell in love with Sintra, and following the purchase of the property, decided to build a unique castle and park, with 500 plant species from all corners of the world. The palace incorporates Manueline and Moorish architectural influences, that together will give you an atmosphere of “a thousand and one nights.”. An unforgettable experience.

In the center of Sintra you can either stay in the village, view the National Palace or walk to visit Regaleira (tickets not included). First, The company seemed communicative via email, but then switched to using whatsApp shortly before the tour. I had no reason to believe I would have to look at both WhatsApp and email to see different communications. Regaleira, according to the original booking on Viator, were arrangements that needed to be made outside the trip. No where in that initial booking did it say when to book that reservation or for what time. Apparently, that was in the "email" that was sent. I am a very planned person. I would have made all of those arrangements ahead of time. I'm not saying they ruin the trip, but that is one of the top places I wanted to see and my expectations fell short due to the company's lack of communication. There are other companies out there. I would recommend checking them out first. We had a wonderful tour guide. If it hadn't been for the excuse prone company, I would have given it a better rating.

Just beautiful . We were picked up at our hotel by Filipe our guide. It was a small group and plenty of room as it was a very nice van.. Filipe was amazing and kept us informed and entertained.. He navigated the road expertly and gave us plenty of time at the points of interest we stopped at..I’m so happy we experienced this tour and grateful to have such a nice and informative guide.. I highly recommend this tour..

Great destinations. 3 people in each row of seats is too crowded. Needed less people or larger vehicle.

My husband and I decided last minute to go to Sintra and Cascais and are we ever happy we decided to go. Filipe made our trip. He was so informative and knowledgeable. We both agree that Filipe is the smartest person in Portugal. We learned so much about the history and then some. Thank you so much Filipe for an amazing day.
