By booking our fishing charters you are booking with a company that has owned and operated fishing boats in Costa Rica for 15 years. Our captain of Whisper, a 29 ft is Jorge. Jorge has 15 years of experience fishing the waters in the Pacific of Costa Rica. Captain Jorge learned to sport fish from his father, who was also a professional . Our mates are fabulous and ensure all clients are comfortable on board. No matter what you are fishing for, our team can cater to your experience.

On full day fishing trips, you can combine inshore, offshore, and bottom fishing. Inshore is especially a great option if you are coming to Costa Rica to catch the elusive Rooster Fish.

5.00I went out on the Whisper for a one-day offshore trip, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The crew was fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. They made the entire day fun, comfortable, and exciting from start to finish. The fishing itself was better than I ever imagined. I landed one sailfish, two mahi-mahi, and three large yellowfin tuna, and even hooked a few more that gave me a run for my money before slipping off the line. It was nonstop action and easily the best fishing day I’ve ever had. This trip was absolutely worth the cost, and I’d recommend the Whisper and its crew to anyone looking for an incredible offshore adventure. Can’t wait to go again! 🎣🌊

5.00This was a day that will not be forgotten. Caught a number of cool fish out of the Pacific and the main prize was a 50lb Mahi that we filleted on the boat for dinner that night. George and Lizandro (probably spelled wrong) were super Dope! We had an absolute blast with those guys and if I could join them every week, I would do it in a heartbeat!

5.00Incredible fishing for a full day trip offshore. Landed over 60 bonita, 8 yellowfin, wahoo, mackerel, and losing a sailfish. The captain knew where to go to put us on fish and the mate knew how to catch them and fillet them while still on board.

5.00We had an unforgettable and magnificent day with Jorge and Lizandro!!! The day started with a short buoy transport to the boat at which point Jorge explained we were the boss and could pick how the day went. He took us to the bait delivery boat and we were off to fish. They made it look easy! We caught 6 fish before heading to Tortuga for lunch, swimming and snorkeling. Lizandro filleted the fish while in transit!! They waited on us providing, fresh fruit, drinks and explaining everything about the island. We had a lovely lunch and relaxed for a bit (our choice) then went back out fishing closer to home. Caught one more mackerel and then went in. The combo was exactly what we needed as it was a warm day and we needed the break. We will be booking with them again and again. It was a fabulous customized low stress day with a fabulous dinner at the end.

5.00I had an amazing inshore fishing experience with the Whisper team. We managed to catch a roosterfish that put up an exciting fight — pure adrenaline from the first strike until we had it in our hands! The boat’s equipment exceeded all my expectations. Everything was in perfect condition, and one thing that truly impressed me was the onboard livewell to keep the bait fresh. That detail made a huge difference and really showed the team’s professionalism and dedication. Without a doubt, this was a fishing trip I’ll remember for a long time. I 100% recommend this experience!

5.00We cannot say enough about George and Bernie on The Whisper!! We did a full day (9hrs) deep sea trip with them: 2 adults and 3 kids (15, 13, and 10). They knew what signs to watch for to find the fish!! We reeled in 6 sailfish and had several others spit the hook. 4 of us had never been deep sea fishing and they told us exactly what we needed to do so that we could reel in the big ones! The food they served us for lunch was amazing!! Ribs, tuna pasta salad, and potatoes were one of the best meals we had in our 2 weeks in Costa Rica! They had a large cooler filled with water, soda, tea, juice, and a few other drinks along with fresh fruit that Bernie cut up on the spot when my kids said they were getting hungry. We listened to music and just enjoyed cruising around and catching fish. They were friendly and knowledgeable as well. We couldn't have asked for a better captain and crew! May God bless you both!!

5.00The crew was fantastic. We were ready to go on time. They worked very hard to put me on fish, which they did. The boat was clean and well equipped. While their fishing gear is top of the line, they allowed me to use my own gear, and the mate even rigged it for me.

5.00If you’re thinking of going fishing in Jaco, look no further. Our guides George and Alessandro were absolute pros from start to finish, 5 star hospitality, they worked hard to keep us in fish all day. We landed 4 yellow fin with the biggest around 80lbs with multiple bites from other species. They out fished the neighbouring boats which was amazing to be a part of. High fives and 5 stars all around. We look forward to another adventure soon!
