Setting sail from the Marina dock at Los Suenos Resort at 7:45 AM, you’ll be thrilled to know that the journey to Isla Tortuga takes just 45 minutes.
As you approach, prepare to be captivated by the stunning views of the island and the Nicoya Peninsula. Upon arrival, you’ll find a variety of exciting activities to choose from, including snorkeling, a thrilling banana boat ride, hiking, or simply unwinding and soaking in the serene surroundings.

Begin your adventure at the prestigious Los Suenos Resort & Marina, just a quick 10-minute drive from downtown Jaco and a convenient 1 hour and 15 minutes from San Jose International Airport. Spend less time traveling and more time exploring the stunning waters! Once you arrive at the island, you’ll have the option to dive into a variety of activities or unwind on the beach while our attentive staff caters to your every need. Your complimentary activities on the island include snorkeling, exhilarating banana boat rides, and scenic nature hikes. For an additional fee, you can also thrill in paddle boarding and kayaking.

5.00From the prompt pick up to the amazing staff everything all day was excellent. The team is very attentive and the island is beautiful. Lunch was plentiful and very tasty. We did do the upgraded drink package which was perfect because we did not care for the included cocktails. My family enjoyed the snorkeling and banana boat. Their team kept us informed about the start time of each activity. Highly recommend!

5.00This was such a great and relaxing experience. I felt cared for the entire trip. The vibe can be both relaxing if that's what you need or a fun party zone with music, volleyball, and dancing on part of the beach. I brought my kids ages 17, 15, and 11 and they all loved it. The food was very good, the service was even better. We saw tons of fish snorkeling and they were not afraid to swim close to you. We also saw whales which was a huge surprise. The captian took time to get close enough for us to see the whales. I highly recommend and will be coming back. A big shout out to the amazing crew for happy, friendly service.

5.00The boat ride and snorkelling were amazing. The water is warm, the fish are plentiful and exotic. I loved it. There were banana boat rides as well as a hike into the jungle. There was plenty of time allocated to enjoy activities and to relax in the sun as well as have a huge delicious lunch. Staff were attentive, friendly and competent. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00What a fantastic way to start off 2026! My husband, 18 year old and I booked the first trip out, which meets at Costa Cat at Los Suenos at 7:15 a.m.. The ride over to the island takes about 50 minutes and you are giving fruit, a muffin and coffee or water. By going early, we were also the first to arrive at Tortuga which was a nice calm before other tours arrived. There is a reserved seating section for Costa Cat travelers which also includes a bathroom. The staff is incredible throughout the day continuously offering water, sodas and the included margarita or rum jungle juice. You can also upgrade the drink package to include premium drinks and beer. Lunch was absolutely delicious - grilled chicken, salad, rice & potatoes. My son and husband participated in the snorkling and the banana boat. I enjoyed lounging under the palm trees in our chairs and the clear, cool ocean water at Isla Tortuga. Oh, and you can buy a Wi-Fi card at the gift shop if you need service. They do bring out sand toys for the little kids - we also took a football to toss around. Make sure to take towels and sunscreen! We headed back to Los Suenos around 2:30 - another perk of taking the early trip out is getting back with some time to rest until dinner, etc. I truly can't say enough about the level of service and professionalism of the crew. We all enjoyed ourselves!
