Experience 20 kilometers of rainforest views with your guide, and top the trip off with a quintessential Costa Rican experience; a fantastic trip to a gorgeous, mountain-side waterfall hidden within the tropical rainforest. The 3 Hour Tour is where the real fun begins. This epic tour has two stops at waterfalls providing amazing photo opportunities.

All ATV/Rhino Tours will require that a credit card (Visa or Mastercard only) voucher be taken and kept on file until the vehicle is returned in the same condition in which it was rented. Once the vehicle has been returned safely to our shop in the same condition in which it was rented, your voucher will either be returned to you, or destroyed on the spot, whichever you prefer. You must bring the required number of credit cards with you to Adventure Tours Costa Rica on the day of your ATV/Rhino tour. The number of credit cards required for your ATV Tour with us are as follows: 1 - 4 vehicles -1 card with a hold of $1000 5 – 8 vehicles - 2 cards with hold of $1000 each 9 – 12 vehicles – 3 cards with a hold of $1000 each.
Recommended to Bring: Camera, Closed-toed shoes (tennis shoes, etc), Clothes you can get dirty (shorts/t-shirts), Swimsuits, Sunscreen, Bug spray (though not necessary)
Children under 4 years old can't ride
Will be operated by a multi-lingual guide (Spanish and English)
Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
Trail conditions and rider ability may alter routes; therefore any features described herein may not be available for each tour. Please speak directly with your guide on the day of your tour for an up-to-date description of the expected route, as conditions can change on a daily basis.
ATV drivers must be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license
No flip flops, sandals, or open-toed shoes
Unlicensed participants and children under 16 must ride as passengers
Minimum drinking age in Costa Rica is 18 years
The number of ATV passengers in your group may not outnumber the ATV drivers

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

What To Expect

The Tour de la Paz begins in the mountains directly behind Jacó, and continues roughly half the distance to the peak of the mountain to a beautiful 35ft. waterfall (Cascada del Zorro) – a perfect spot to get a little wet and take some photos. Just beyond the crest of the mountain lies a beautiful mirador offering views of the ocean playing against sands as far south as Manuel Antonio Park, as far west as the Nicoya Peninsula, and as far north as the port city of Puntarenas.

Continuing along the mountain tops and through the rainforest, you arrive at the second, incredible waterfall of your tour with us - the exciting Pura Vida waterfall. Surrounded by lush rainforest and crested by a natural rock platform, thrill-seeking adventurers may jump over 15 feet down into the crisp, refreshing waterfall pool below. The sounds of rushing water, coupled with the call of exotic birds combine to make this visit to the Pura Vida Falls a truly Costa Rican experience that you will remember for years to come. To end the tour, we ride the loop that takes us right to the edge of the famous Carara National Park, and then begin our decent back to Adventure Tours in Jaco.

4.00Kiko made this tour seamless with on time hotel pickup and drop off. The terrain is some of the craziest I have ever experienced going over big rocks and climbing almost completely vertically. The atvs also go pretty fast. My favorite part was driving through the shallow bank of the river. Wear a bathing suit and bug spray as you won’t want to miss swimming in the gorgeous waterfall at the top of the mountain. The view at the top is spectacular. Kiko also took pictures of us included in the price and used a GoPro to film our journey at an extra cost. The only downside is it takes a week+ to get your photos back and we didn’t really think to take any on our phones bc the pics were included. Kiko also pointed out wildlife along the way like toucans. Would definitely do this tour again.

5.00These two seniors had a blast! We each had our own ATV and even with the rain it was our favorite activity. We felt completely safe, and our guide was great. The waterfall is beautiful and stopping at the little restaurant for a quick bite to eat overlooking the mountain side was icing on the cake.

5.00It was a lot of fun, we took the ATV’s on the road briefly and up the mountains , then took pictures by a waterfall and then down more mountains and swam in the waterfall , then took the ATV’s thru a nearby files and across a few streams , it was not too bumpy and even the rain did not disturb us I would highly recommend

5.00Absolutely fab! Kiko was our guide. Due to a mudslide, he couldn't take us to the waterfall but instead took us to some of his favourite spots. We were incredibly lucky and got see loads of wildlife! Coatis, macaws, spider monkeys and a sloth. Would definitely recommend. S bit of experience on ATVs is advisable to fully enjoy.

5.00This is probably the best thing we did here and we did a lot of activities! It was so amazing it was sunny when we started it started pouring on us when we got around to the bar, it’s not for a little bit and then a big storm heading towards us, so it was thrilling. We ran through puddles got amazing views and the bar people were so nice! The waterfall was nothing I’ve ever done before. It was so cool and scary, muchas gracias chicos!
