This tour is an excellent alternative to Tortuga Island to avoid the crowds and is a great short and sweet day trip perfect for families with children, couples, and singles.
Join us on a very unique and exclusive catamaran day trip (4.5 hours) to Playa Fantasia. Our day trip departs at 11 am from Playa Herradura cruising 40 minutes up the Gulf of Nicoya to a secluded beach.
Playa Fantasia is a beach, accessible only by water, a beach with sprawling jungle, reef formations, white sand and turquoise waters. Untouched and full of marine and wildlife such as Monkeys, Scarlet Macaws, Turtles, and of course, all our rescued animals.
Included, you will have a beautiful fresh lunch cooked by our private chef at Playa Fantasia as well as a bar of fresh Pina Coladas, margaritas, mojitos, beer, soda and water. Fresh fruits served throughout the entire tour.
At Playa Fantasia, you have access to boogie boards, paddleboards, surfboard, snorkel gear (unguided) hammocks and beach loungers.

There is plenty of shaded areas on board, please prepare to spend majority of your tour in direct or indirect sunlight. For safety reasons spray sunscreens are not permitted.
Our cruise is not a booze cruise, if you are looking for a booze cruise, you will be disappointed
Our crew reserves the right to refuse entry to passengers who are intoxicated, without refund. Our crew also reserves the right to stop serving alcohol if it affects the safety of passengers.
We board the large catamaran from small tenders from the beach. Long dresses, and pants are not recommended.
Snorkel equipment is available, snorkelling is not guided.
Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
You will be notified by a representative of your pickup time, our transportation will only wait 5 minutes at each stop before moving to the next stop. If you miss your transportation time, your tour will be cancelled without refund.
Banana boat rides can be requested by message before the tour. USD 20.00 per person
ID is necessary to use all snorkel equipment, paddle boards and boogie boards.
If you are in Jaco in our Winter time (May 15th - December 15th) the chances for good snorkeling are 50/50, since it is the rainy season all depends on good weather and good ocean conditions. and it is not under our control, however we offer other activities like boogie boards, surf boards, SUP Paddle boards, as well as Soccer and Beach Volleyball on our tours in order to entertain and give our clients an unforgettable experience.

What To Expect
Accessible only by sea, hidden between two mountain ranges in secondary forest and protected by two volcanic reefs, the wild jungle flows down on the untouched white sand and turquoise waters. The beach is overflowing with scarlet Macaos, monkeys, sloths and Costa Rican unique trees and flowers. Playa Fantasia is the perfect place in harmony with nature for our guests to enjoy on one of our tours from Jaco. Ideal for families, companies, weddings and those that seek privacy and exclusivity.

5.00From the moment | arrived at the Sea Lounge office in Herradura the experience was off to a strong start. I was welcomed by a genuinely friendly and organized team, which immediately set the tone for the day. Shortly after we were taken to Herradura Beach where I met Juanes, and honestly he was a standout from the very beginning. Juanes brought incredible energy to the experience: confident, approachable, knowledgeable, and effortlessly engaging. He made everyone feel comfortable and excited before we even stepped onto the catamaran. Once onboard, I met the rest of the crew: Largo, Empanada, and another team member whose name I unfortunately don't remember but each of them played a key role in making the trip exceptional. The entire crew was highly attentive, detail oriented and consistently focused on delivering a top tier experience. Their professionalism, warmth, and teamwork turned what could have been a simple boat tour into a truly memorable adventure. A special shout out to Juanes for taking the time to thoroughly explain sea life along the way. His passion and knowledge added real value to the trip. This catamaran experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. An unforgettable day, a beautiful and private beach setting and a crew that clearly takes pride in what they do. 5.00Had an absolute blast! Crew was so fun and friendly, they played volleyball with us and took us on the banana boat. Drinks and food on the island were super yummy! Also enjoyed there were only 25 guests which made it more enjoyable and intimate.Definitely recommend!

5.00Really good !!!! All was fine and nice!! Better than Cancun Mexico. The host was really friendly! The staff was pretty professional !! And a small group of tourists, so that meant that the trip was better than if you where in a "chicken bus". And only 80's music!! Not regueton, but 80's music!! 😎🤟

The boat itself was amazing—clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable (we were lucky to be 4/6 total people). The food and drinks were delicious. Everything felt perfectly planned and effortless. What truly made the experience unforgettable though, was the crew. Our main tour guide Johanis, Captain Adrian, and the incredible team—Largo, Brian, Steven, and Rodolfo— went above and beyond to make everyone feel cared for. 5.00I highly recommend this excursion. We were picked up promptly at the agreed upon time. Van was clean. We arrived at the beach and joined the rest of the group. This is a boat and beach day- wear your bathing suit, bring a towel and easy shoes to remove. A small boat shuttle us to catamaran. Served fresh fruit and beverages. After brief safety chat, we were off! Leisurely boat ride to Playa Fantasia. Some chose to jump off boat's roof into water, some used the ladder and swam to shore with a pool noodle. Others rode in on the boat. Lounge chairs available. Hammocks also available. A group went snorkeling while others explored the area, played volleyball and soccer. Full bar and snacks provided. Lunch was served for all on large table. Fantastic kebabs, potatoes, salad. Just a great experience! And just enough time so no one hot restless. Stunning views as we sailed back to starting point. Beverages served but not pushed- definitely not a booze cruise. We traveled with our kids (all 18+) and they loved it. Johannes was a great host and he and his crew were attentive, polite, and fun to sail with. Worth every penny!

5.00The sea lounge catamaran was amazing, the crew and staff were very friendly. It was so good we booked it again for the full tour service the following day. Johannes, Adrian and Largo were amazing very polite people and very accommodating to each and everyone. The drinks and food were amazing, the crew was very encouraging and kept a watchful eye on every one while snorkeling. They provided assurance as well as provided safety dip easily understandable instructions.

1.00Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this tour. We arrived at the meetup location listed on our reservation, only to discover the tour was actually departing from a different address that was not provided to us. When we contacted the tour company and explained the situation, we asked if they could wait just 10 minutes while we tried to reach the alternate location. They refused. We have screenshots showing the address provided on the reservation, so this was not a case of us going to the wrong place. The lack of flexibility and customer service was disappointing, especially while traveling in a foreign country. Because of this experience, I can’t in good conscience recommend this tour.
