What To Expect

1

Glastonbury Abbey

the site of the Wattle Church in the centre of the Glastonbury Abbey. The Wattle Church is England’s first ever building for Christian worship, built by Mary Magdalene and Joseph of Arimathea in 62AD. A few steps away we find the last resting place of King Arthur and Gwynevere and find out why it is there and how they are linked to the family of Christ.

2

Chalice Well

After lunch we go on our quest for the Holy Grail, said to be buried under the Chalice Well. Find out why these waters in this tranquil garden are said to be healing by drinking them yourself. Balance the red waters, the female energies of the Chalice Well, with the waters of the White Spring, the male energies, which is very close by, in a beautiful candle-lit water temple (you may find a naked bather or two, so please let us know if you would prefer to not witness this.)

My daughter and I did the walking tour of Glastonbury with Tor and were completely captivated by his storytelling and depths of knowledge about this magical land. He truly makes it a one of kind experience. I appreciated his sense of humor, kind heart, and easy going approach to the day. I hope to go back one day, and would not hesitate to book another tour with him. I highly recommend!

We had a great day out with Tor in Glastonbury and Tintagel surrounds. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and grounded in the ancient stories and energies of the land. Tor brought the myths and legends of Glastonbury to life in such a heartfelt and accessible way. His presence and insights helped us experience the sacred sites on a much deeper level. Highly recommend if you're looking for a meaningful and magical experience.

Extra special day with like-minded fellow travelers and our guide, Michael Tyack, a truly lovely man, warm hearted, great sense of humor, who generously shared his stories and spiritual gifts and even added an extra special bonus. For me, this was a personal pilgrimage to connect with the history of the place. We all felt like we were meant to be there together on that day. A visit to treasure for a lifetime!

Loved this all day tour! Learned so much from Tor, saw so many sites that I probably wouldn't have found on my own and met some wonderful fellow travelers. Never felt rushed and had time to take to pause, reflect and absorb the energy of Glastonbury.

  • Rite of passage

If you are drawn to the ancient mysteries and spiritual heart of England, a day with Tor on "The Quest" walking tour in Glastonbury is nothing short of a rite of passage. Glastonbury, often called the Isle of Avalon, is a place steeped in legend, myth, and spiritual significance, and Tor’s tour brings these stories vividly by the end of which you feel more part of the land and it's myth. Tor shares his wealth of knowledge without imposing beliefs, inviting questions and encouraging personal reflection at every stop. The walk is well-paced, never rushed, allowing time for both contemplation and conversation as you move through the sacred sites. My personal favourite was visiting the Holy Thorn of Joseph of Arimithea and the Dragon's Egg (finally). Some of the places I had visited many times before have become further enriched thanks to this tour.

I did the Full Day Glastonbury Tour and then the Full Day Stonehenge/Avebury Tour and thoroughly enjoyed both. I was briefly disappointed when another guide instead of Tor arrived, however Michael was fantastic and full of wisdom. I ended up being the only person on both tours however Michael made me feel very comfortable and at ease like travelling with an old friend rather than someone I’d never met before. I will definitely be back to do the Cornwall tour in the future.

A whole lot of crazy coming out of the guide. Bear in mind this was a substitute to Tor… Heard too much about ufos and didn’t know enough history or explanation of most about anything. Poor time management and also imposing guide.

Great tour. Tor really knew his history and places of interest to show us. Would have loved to know more about the significant trees in the Challice well gardens.
