Take full advantage of winter with this unique experience in the second most visited park in Canada. Join Aventure Outaouais for an awesome starlight guided snowshoeing adventure in the Gatineau Park to an charming wood shelter in the heart of the park where a nice warm dinner will be prepared by your guide on the wood stove and served in the warmth and the tranquility of this beautiful and historical shelter.
The journey itself is considered moderate in difficulty with 6.5 km (round-trip) in length. But don't let that bother you. With the help of a trained and experienced guide, you will be assisted through this fun adventure and given lots of pro tips. We provide all the training and equipment (snowshoes or crampons, hiking poles, and head lamps) to make it to the shelter and back. This round-trip trail should take around 3 hours to complete, including 1 hour to rest and eat at the shelter. This really is once a must do winter activity in the National Capital Region.

4.00We went with friends that had never snowshoed before, myself included. The tour was well organized and pick up locations went smoothly. Our guide was great. We did find the snowshoeing fast paced, so make sure that your cardio is good as there is a lot of uphill walking. A charcutier board, soup and hot chocolate was provided; nothing to scream home about, but the soup & hot chocolate were piping hot. The cabin itself was new and wonderful. The guide tried to make a fire but could not get it going. About 10 mins before we left, tea lights we lite for our table. The bus that we were picked up in seemed new and super clean with an abondance of snacks. However, sitting by the window (both ways) was very cold - others who were sat by windows agreed. All in all, it was not a bad tour.

5.00The guide was knowledgeable, interesting and fun. The guide picked us up on time and was incredibly friendly and fun ! He knew so much about wildlife and plants, and stopped a few times to point things out to us that we may have missed. The cabin was lovely with a fire, and we had delicious food.

5.00This was a great experience, beautiful walk in the Gatineau park, to an amazing chalet. The food was a perfect, charcuterie board, local cheese and meats. An amazing soup and local deserts. The guide Brandon was amazing provided a wilderness tour as well. If you are looking for a winter activity it’s too challenging. Well worth the hike. I will be planning one of the other winter events held by Adventure Outaouais

5.00We had an exceptional experience snowshoeing in Gatineau Park. We were picked up in a very comfortable mini bus and driven by our guide to Gatineau park. Our guide Brandon and his wife Jen were very knowledgeable, and experienced. We felt very safe and well cared for. They were also very entertaining. All equipment was provided ( not clothing and boots). We hiked into the woods with stops along the way, to a beautiful cabin where a light supper was prepared. It was a magical experience.

5.00Funny, fabulous and fantastic tour with Brandon (owner and host extraordinaire) on a glorious nighttime hike through Gatineau Park. Well paced, and we were well fed with simple but hearty soup and grilled cheese sandwiches in a beautiful setting. Something I never would have tried at night on my own, even though I live in the region. It was a lovely crisp and perfect evening.

5.00I never tried a single tour before, it always was through an agency, but I am glad I found this outaois adventures! It was a really nice walking, very kind tour guides Brandon and Jane are the best! Made so enjoyable hiking even though the hills; Most happy people and for the tour since the pickup up and through the end sooo enjoyable, the soup was so delicious, will come back for the summer tours for sure!
