Escape the standard tourist agencies and discover Palermo SoHo from an anthropological perspective. This is not a passive walk-and-listen tour. Be prepared to chat, question, and discuss the past, present, and future of the “coolest” neighborhood in Buenos Aires.
Beginning at the Distrito Arcos Premium Outlet and ending in the vibrant Plaza Serrano, this walking experience is a journey past the trendy facades of Palermo SoHo to uncover the neighborhood’s true core.
What does the train and the tram have to do with the origin of this neighborhood? Who were its first inhabitants? When did Palermo become “SoHo” and get filled with tourists, “chic” bars & restaurants, avocado toasts and sourdough bakeries? What is Real Estate speculation and why is it related to the Argentine Peso devaluation? What is the deal with the crazy two exchange rates?
These are just some of the many questions we will try to answer in our walk through the most “hip” part of Buenos Aires.

I was the only person who signed up for the tour, but that did not deter my guide from showing up and proceeding with the tour.

Whatever you thought you knew about the history of Buenos Aires... We found out very quickly that there was a lot we did not know. Our guide was Nick, although he went by several other variations...lol. I believe he spoke five different languages and he was so knowledgeable and so fun to be with... It was strictly walking and it was in Palermo which is a very fun part, almost funky, of Buenos Aires.. A lot of old with the new, My friend and I are big history buffs and it was so interesting to learn the ins and outs about the neighborhood and the city. Our tour ended in a very eclectic part of Palermo where we end up staying for a few hours afterwards and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Nick was such a delight... Highly recommend!

Nicolas was extremely polite and professional. We learned a lot of new things about the Palermo SoHo district that we didn’t know, despite living nearby. His socio-historical approach to explaining the Argentinian culture is really unique and opens up a whole world for you. 100% recommended!
