In Hautvillers, we will also stop in the historical hillsides of Champagne listed as Word Heritage Site by Unesco to enjoy the magnificent panorama of Champagne overlooking the Marne Valley, the place where Dom Pérignon carried out his experiments in winemaking. It is the ideal place in the heart of the vineyards to take unforgettable photos of you and this breathtaking landscape. We will visit the first of the 2 families of independent producers/growers that you will discover during this day with explanations on the Champagne production process, visit of the presses, wineries and cellars. You will taste there, during a commented tasting, 3 different Premier Cru Champagnes*. *depending on the season and availability, this visit/tastings may take place in a village of the "Côte des Blancs" or in Aÿ-Champagne.

5.00Just wanted to say that we had a wonderful time with our guide Marine. The day went by so fast, and we learned a lot (and tasted a lot too). Lunch was unexpected, but also wonderful. The houses were terrific, it was great to see the modern vs. the old-fashioned way of making champagne. Marine's driving style is also fantastic, we never had a moment where we didn't feel safe. Hope to see her next year (we plan on coming back)!

4.00We had an excellent day with our guide, Julie. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. She took us around the region and showed us many places we would have never discovered on our own. She more exceeded our expectations. Our lunch was wonderful, all the champagnes were also very good. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because of the very uncomfortable car! It was very difficult to get in and out with only the 2 doors. For the price we paid, we should have had a four door vehicle with more comfort. This was not a car for us in our 50s/60s.

3.00Because we were so looking forward to visiting Epernay in the Champagne region, we splurged hoping this was one of those experiences that is ultimately worth the cost (720 Euros) Unfortunately, it was not the Gold experience we had hoped for. The private tour itself was pretty good, but the lunch that was provided was so very basic - bread, with very average cheese & charcuterie - so disappointing and definitely not the "Gold" experience we expected. The tour operator didn't accept our feedback, saying that others who had done this tour had no issues. Oh well, lesson learned!

5.00Isabelle picked us up with her electric E-Mehari jeep at our hotel in Epernay. We had a great day starting with Hautville for a guided tour of the Church of Dom Pérignon and the vineyard. She made sure we were there before it got busy. After that we visited 2 familie/independent houses were we tasted of course different champagnes. In between we had a delicious lunch with a bottle of champagne from the village were we ate. Driving through small villages and stopping at various points for beautiful views of the region. Ending in Ay with a tasting of various champagne aperitifs before we returned to Epernay.

5.00Isabelle and Matthis were excellent tour guides as we had our private group (10) champagne experience. They are very knowledgeable and accommodating, and the experience was educational, relaxed and fun. I definitely recommend this tour. Well worth it.

5.00Ay-Champagne Experience was suggested to me by our hotel in Epernay. Very pleased how everything went being my wife's birthday surprise. Charlotte, picked us up promptly at our hotel for the morning tour. Charming and expertly knowledgeable of the entire region. Friendly, engaging, and passionate as to what she does. Enjoyed the tastings that were provided as well. Gave an excellent recommendation to us for lunch as well. Both wife and I were pleased with our tour and day.

5.00A private small group tour with a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour leader, Emma. Incredible amount of information worked in with enjoyable champagne tasting. The whole day was a gift slowly unwrapped.
