• Great Personalized Puerto Plata Tour/Shore Excursion

  Our family had a wonderful city tour with Fermin! Loved that we were able to go at our own pace and do the things we wanted to do. Booking process was easy through TripAdvisor. Communication with Chepe and Fermin started the day after booking. The duo wanted to understand our families interests and what we wanted to do. Communication was stellar from the time of post-booking until after the tour. Our ship arrived an hour early to port and Fermin was already waiting for us. Although it was a 10 minute walk from the ship to the taxi meeting point (Taino Bay is huge!), Fermin was there waiting for us. The vehicle was clean and AC worked great! Just before arriving at our first stop and lookout point, Fermin stopped at a convenience store on the way and grabbed us local Presidente beers and gave us water and fruit soda for the kids which was nice and hospitable. We went to a beautiful lookout point with a great view of Puerto Plata. We then continued our journey to a cigar shop where my son learned how to roll a cigar and where we were able to try some local cigars. If you a cigar aficionado like my husband, there isn’t a ton of variety there, but the cigar workers were fun and extremely nice!! We then proceeded to Pink Street and Umbrella Street which were great photo ops but not much else to do there. We ended our trip visiting Fortaleza de San Felipe, which was constructed in 1500’s!! Well preserved fort with an incredible seaside view!! There were small hills and my kids had a great time rolling down them. This tour was a great family experience for all ages - our group ranged from 4 to 68! I would highly recommend!

  Chepe and Valera Outstanding tours phenomenal company Five star company. Chepe is a five star tour guide was amazing. Very professional he knew every part of the city and explained everything in detail. I strongly recommend Chepe if you are looking for one of the best tour guides in Puerto Plata.

  Absolutely wonderful day spent in Puerta Plata! Fermin Valero, our guide, made us feel safe and comfortable. It was an amazing experience. He took us to places where the views of the city were breath taking. He asked us what, "We", wanted to see and do! The shopping was phenomenal! We enjoyed every minute of the day!

  Our group of four adults reserved a private tour of Puerto Plata with Chepe and Valera Tours. Chepe messaged in advance to see if I had any special requests & messaged again the day before our tour to be sure we were still on. Chepe was at the designated pickup location on time, with cold water & soft drinks. His vehicle was clean & the air conditioning was a blessing on a hot day! Chepe isn't just a driver; he's a TRUE guide. He happily customized the tour to meet our needs & interests. He took us to picturesque overlooks, beautiful beaches, and the highlights of the city. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the island and shares it eagerly. Chepe is very professional, plus he's a happy & fun guy!
