In 1901, the great fire of Jacksonville quickly swept through the area and destroyed our downtown. Thankfully architects from around the world heard about our plight and came to help us design our buildings. On this wonderful tour, you will also experience several memorials and the oldest living thing in our city, the great Treaty Oak. A fun addition is being able to ride in our luxury tuk tuk over our historic Main Street bridge.

What To Expect
The Main Street Bridge, officially the John T. Alsop Jr. Bridge, is a bridge crossing the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida. It was the second bridge built across the river. It carries four lanes of traffic, and is signed as US 1/US 90. A lift bridge, it opened in July 1941 at a cost of $1.5 million
Veterans Memorial Wall
The Veterans Memorial Wall is located at 1145 East Adams Street, adjacent to the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. The quarter-million dollar monument was dedicated in November, 1995 and serves as a tribute to more than 1,500 Jacksonville area American war heroes.

With family visiting, we decided to explore something new and took a tour of Jacksonville's architectural landscape with gotukn.com. Our knowledgeable tour guide, Toni, shared her expertise on the city's architecture and history, revealing hidden treasures we were unaware of. The breathtaking homes and parks were captured in numerous photographs. The three-hour tour flew by, leaving us wondering how time passed so quickly. We would certainly consider participating in gotukn's other tours, including their scavenger hunt tour. Thank you for a fantastic time!

5.00We had a wonderful tour with Toni, who very kindly picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back there at the end. It was a fun and informative tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. There are various tours to be taken and I suspect that the art tour is also a really good one to do. It is clear that Jacksonville downtown is going to be fabulous when all the construction is completed!

5.00My office organized our tour as part of our Company's 180th Anniversary, and we love that Go Tuk'n incorporated a stop at the downtown building where our Company first opened an office more than 100 years ago! We also appreciated that we could bring our own little coolers and snacks for the afternoon tour, and the pit stop at Sweet Pete's was perfectly timed. Katie and Toni were fantastic guides, and all of our attendees have been saying they want to do another tour again soon!
