Those life-size figures were uncovered by peasants in 1974 when digging a well and then became the major archaeological discovery of the 20th century. For 2,200 years, the Xi’an terracotta warriors silently guarded the tomb of Qin Shihuang, the first Emperor of China.

5.0Our half day tour was excellent. We were picked up from our hotel right on time and the ride to the Terra Cotta Museum was without any problems. Our guide, Jerry, was fantastic. He had a great command of English and was very knowledgeable about things. He also had a great sense of humor and we simply enjoyed having him as our guide.
