My sister, my husband and I booked a tour and were given a meeting place by the booking agent, and confirmed on the morning of the scheduled tour. We booked requesting accommodations as disabled due having a wheelchair and a walker in our party. The driver for See Sights was not there at the meeting place, but he called us to tell us WE were not there at the meeting place. Driver said he wasn't allowed to pick up at Pier 21 in front of the Canadian Museum of Immigration. Driver asked for us to walk 5 minutes to another meeting point. We were not making a 5 minute walk with 2 disabled persons, which would take more like 15 minutes. Several calls had to be made to attempt to resolve, however, no other driver was available who could accommodate a wheelchair and walker, both folding. We were in port only for the day, but were not able to have a tour as planned. No one wanted to take responsibility for the error. Only recourse provided was a refund, but that wasn't enough for us, since this experience ruined our Halifax day in port. Not to mention, it cost 2 times as much to just get a driver to take us out to Peggy's Cove, wait for us, and return us. This was not a tour, though, just a ride there and back. We were extremely disappointed in our experience and will never use See Sight Tours again.

This was my first trip to Halifax and seeing Peggy’s Cove was an absolute must. The driver was courteous, knowledgeable and spoke of a lot of the history of the area. Peggy’s Cove was breathtaking and I was able to enjoy a delicious bowl of chowder at the restaurant/gift shop (perfect on a cool, windy day). Should definetly be on everyone’s bucket list when visiting Halifax!

Layton was a fantastic guide, he rang me to confirm arrangements and was on time as expected. He was very knowledgeable and informative. I was the only customer but I still had the full experience. Great job Layton

It’s very expensive for just a taxi ride. If the planned 5 people had turned up that would have been over £250

I booked this excursion to Peggy's Cove as a solo female traveller. I've done many day trips and short tours in difference cities before. Getting picked up in a mini van or bus with official logo on the side, a driver with a tour guide and dialogue about local interests along the way. None of this applied to this trip out. I was picked up at my hotel by a driver in a small SUV with no logo or official marking on the vehicle. It was as if I had hired an uber to take me to the Cove. When I asked the driver if it was just me on the tour, he said "yes". Needless to say I was stunned but had faith in the Trip Advisor platform that everything would be ok. The driver was pleasant and shared some Halifax and eastern Canada information with me. Then we proceeded on the 45 minute drive which goes through some very remote areas with little conversation. This is not so unusual in an uber, but for an excursion I found it unsettling. We got to the Cove and I was given an hour to walk around the area. It was lovely. The drive back was much the same - quiet but smooth. As a solo female traveller the whole experience was strange but I'm glad that I made the trip out. If the tour administrator knew that I would be the only passenger in the car, they should have alerted me in advance.

It’s hard for me to review a tour that never happened. My sister made the reservation and the three of us made our payments. But No van/bus showed up at pier 21. We received an email stating that was the meeting place. Bottom line, after several telephone calls, we never got picked up. Therefore we called an Uber and did get to Peggy’s Cove. Later after more calls to Viator, we did get a refund but it was less than what Uber charged. That being said, this was a very unfortunate situation. We were beyond disappointed.

Dilmurod (Dale) was our driver and was terrific. He had immigrated from Eastern Europe, without his family, several years ago and had some very interesting stories to share about his experience. His love for the country that took him in, and later his family, were an added bonus. Gorgeous little area and I now know why it is one of the most photographed areas in Canada.

I had communicated numerous times with the company and they confirmed pick up location and able to accommodate walker and foldable wheelchair. The morning of tour they said they could not pick us up at agreed location or accommodate wheelchair. Did not offer to send another vehicle. This had been contracted to See Sight Tours. We received money back from Viator but spent 2x as much on Uber to go to Peggy’s Cove. This is the first time I have had a problem with Viator but was very disappointed. Thankfully they refunded my money right away! I love Peggy’s Cove!

The tour provided what we wanted - a good value for an efficient ride to Peggy’s Cove, an hour there, and an efficient ride back to Halifax that morning so we could spend the afternoon seeing the sights in town. But they should make clear that transport is via private taxi, and do a better job describing meeting place. We went to the meeting place, but the tour had sent an email the day before moving the meeting place around the corner. But since we were on a cruise, we didn’t get the email so it took us awhile to find our driver, especially since there is no signage on the taxi or the driver indicating “Sight Tours.” If you’re looking for a good value and efficient trip to Peggy’s Cove, this tour works well but they need to be clearer about transport, pickup location, and signage.

We couldn’t have asked for a better tour! Our driver from the port of Halifax to Peggy’s Cove and back was outstanding. From the moment we hopped in the vehicle at the cruise-terminal, we felt welcomed, comfortable and in good hands. It was pouring down rain when we arrived , Ali called us and asked if we wanted to be picked up at the port instead of us having to walk 15 mins in a downpour! Highlights: The pickup was right on schedule – prompt and hassle-free. On the drive out to Peggy’s Cove the commentary was informative without being overbearing; we learned about the local history, scenery, and got insider tips on photo spots. Once at Peggy’s Cove the guide made sure we had enough time to explore the lighthouse, the shoreline, and get those great views — not rushed at all. The return trip was smooth, with friendly conversation, comfortable driving, and good safety throughout. He even made a pit stop to the citadel for us to check that out before returning to the ship! The vehicle was clean and comfortable, making the hour-plus journey each way pleasant rather than tiring. In short: a 5-star experience. If you’re arriving in Halifax and looking to book a stress-free excursion to Peggy’s Cove, we highly recommend this tour and our guide for a memorable outing. Thanks for a fantastic day out!
