Swissair Flight 111 Memorial
Swissair Flight 111 (SR111/SWR111) was a scheduled international passenger flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, United States, to Cointrin Airport in Geneva, Switzerland. The flight was also a codeshare flight with Delta Air Lines.[1] On 2 September 1998, the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 performing this flight, registration HB-IWF, crashed into the Atlantic Ocean southwest of Halifax Stanfield International Airport at the entrance to St. Margarets Bay, Nova Scotia. The crash site was 8 kilometers (5 mi; 4 nmi) from shore, roughly equidistant from the small fishing and tourist communities of Peggy's Cove and Bayswater, killing all 229 passengers and crew on board the MD-11, making the crash the deadliest accident in the history of Swissair and the deadliest accident involving the McDonnell Douglas MD-11. It is also the second-deadliest aviation accident to occur in Canada, behind Arrow Air Flight 1285R.

Neda was a great driver. She knew all the history about Peggy’s Cove, Halifax and the area. She offered to take us around Halifax and stop anywhere we liked for photos. The car was clean and comfortable. When my daughter started to feel carsick, she pulled over to let her sit in the front and helped distract her with conversation. She was very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend! Much better than being on a bus with lots of others.

Mr Pratik was an excellent guide. He was attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and relaxed. He loves driving and the trip to Peggy’s Cove. We were looking for a relaxed trip and he knew the right balance of conversation. He offered a few places to stop if we wanted other views or activities. He was not rushed and offered a few other brief stops to round out the tour. Peggy’s Cove was crowded so he told us the best viewpoints and areas for photos and then we were able to leave and stay ahead of the tour busses. We stopped at the Citadel on the way back. He dropped us off at a good spot on the boardwalk for strolling and gave us some great recommendations for dining. Overall a great experience.

We had a great time! Our guide was so kind and answered our questions, dropped us off where we could access everything and even took us to the Swiss Air memorial. He also dropped us off in town where we wanted to go. It was a perfect day!

Sorry no report because our guide never showed up and did not reply to messages. Also the meeting point was at the Port Authority building which we found out they are not supposed to do. There was no Viator office.
